Ideas needed for recycle project (I am so environmentally friendly.......)

I am getting my wedding band re-made. I had planned on a plain "low dome" 19K white gold band. BUT....

My old band has 5 .02 diamonds scattered along the front of the band (very similar to the WF scattered band, but mine is just the front - very annoying with spinning). So, DH has suggested taking the stones from the old band, adding stones to go all the way around, and "re-creating" the old band.

DH is very sentimental about this, so I want him to be happy too. I have sold him on the new band, but he really wants to incorporate the 5 little stones for sentimental purposes. Any thoughts on how to use them - do you like the idea above, or do you have other ideas? Thanks PS''ers.

Can you post a picture of the band you will be getting or a link? I do think that sounds pretty going all the way around.

If you''re having the band remade, and your dh is sentimental as you say. I would do something like a scattered band with your 5 stones plus some more to make up the difference. That way, it''s still what your dh gave you. It''s probably going to cost more than just buying a new band, so I guess it really boils down to how sentimental your dh is.

My dh is sentimental too, and was wanting me to incorporate stones that were in some anniversary ring wraps he had given me into my new setting. It was just getting ridiculously expensive, when I could buy a branded ring for less. He decided he wasn''t all that sentimental. Practicality won out.

Is it the band that you have pictured with your asscher three stone? If so, it is a very pretty band! If it were me, I would do a scattered band using the 5 diamonds from your current band and adding additional stones to make the stones go all the way around.

Thanks, everyone!!! The ring I am contemplating is very much like Hoocares'' ring, Skippy. It is much the same as the Whiteflash scattered diamond ring as well.

Diamond Dana, the ring I am recyling is the ring pictured with my Asschers. I like the ring, but I find it too narrow to wear alone, and oh, the spinning!!! That, and I am tired of rhodium plating, so I am getting the new band in 19K white gold, no rhodium plating!!
