I am thinking about acquiring a 1 carat diamond, but I am still trying to find a good platinum setting. My ideal setting is the "petite trellis" by Blue Nile, but it doesn't look like they will sell the setting without a diamond. I think I'm attracted to this particular setting because 1) It's a simple, elegant design, 2) the sloped sides are practical for an active lifestyle, and 3) the diamond isn't ridiculously elevated.
I am very open to alternatives (like side-stones), so let me know what your favorite setting is!
