I asked my daughter, who is a college sophmore, what she remembers receivng that she really liked and she suggests giving her a blanket monogrammed with her college-to-be''s theme.... (assuming she''s going and you can find out where).

funny, one of my favorite gifts was a blanket with my initials and high school letters monogrammed. the blanket + monogrammed thread color were my high school colors. i also gave this to each of my cousins when they graduated high school.

another thing i really appreciated when i graduated [and still have to this day] is an address book.

One of my favorites was a very nice large beach towel with my initials. I still have it (and no I''m not telling how long ago that was !!)

More than likely, her dad will buy her a house or condo to live in, no dorm for this child. The older daughter is on the other side of the country
in college - dad bought her a house!!

I think I''m struggling with finding a gift that''s not too cheesy or traditional. She''s a Beverly Hills high kiddo and in my old lady thinking,
a little different

But I could be wrong.
