ideas for a single 18 pointer and/or recommendation for jeweler who will re-use melee

Hi All,

Looking for suggestions of what to do with a single 18 pointer? I bought a ring to use as a stacker with a gorgeous 18 pointer and ten 2 pointers. The ring doesn't work for the look I was going for and before listing the whole ring on pre-loved I thought I'd query you all lovely PSers for ideas on what to do with a lone 18 pointer and or the associated 2 pointers.

I'd love to add a DBTY necklace to my collection but am unsure if a jeweler would be willing to re-use the stones from my unwanted stacker which is why I was trying to come up with a use for the 18 pointer. I know Tiffany sells a DBTY with 3 pointers but 2 pointers might be too dainty. Any thoughts or recommendations for jewelers who might be willing to take this on? or ideas of what else I could do with the 18 pointer. Is it even worth trying to salvage the stones from this ring or am I better off starting from scratch?

You'd probably pay more to remove the 2-pointers than they're worth.

Competent labor is expensive.
Then there's rent/insurance/electricity/security to pay on the building (s)he works in.

I figured as much for the melee, just wondering if its worth trying to do something with the 18 pointer in the center or if I should just keep the ring intact and sell it.

I'd do a little flower ring. it would be darling at that size! - roughly 7mm across when completed.
