I just got my Idealscope today and am ready to take on the B&M world
11.gif

I actually got it to view some of Tiffany''s diamonds to make my selection.
I know the Tiffany speech so you can save the pitch.
However I am a total newbie here but have been told that I can use my scope on diamonds already set.
My question is do I need to take with me the sheet of copy paper it says to use on the box?
I''m concerned about lighting conditions in Tiffany anyway because as you know unfortunately they won''t let you take them outside for different evaluating conditions.
That brings up another question I have.
Do I have ANY other lighting options besides their glorious spots that would make just about any cut look good?
Thanx for the help-

The paper will help you with the backligting, it isn''t crucial. Under the idealscope the lighting from above matters less you need backlighting to see the image well.
View the Tiffany''s diamonds by the window, under a table etc.

Um, what?
So buy some copy paper to use behind the ring?
Sorry I''m so ignorant.
The lighting from above doesn''t matter?
Maybe because my big head will be in the way?

I just use the plain Idealscope on set diamonds, it works well.
