Hi all,

I finally have the idealscope of the diamond and unfortunately I'm not that impressed. It's missing two arrows? Is this normal as I've never seen it missing even on good cuts.

The seller said the shadow just wasn't captured in the online image but it is an ideal cut with excellent proportions.

Should i be overly concerned?

It is not just two missing arrows, which, by itself, may not be a big deal. The seller is correct; if you cast more shadow, all eight arrows should appear. Why two missing arrows? It is because the pavilion facets are not uniformly cut.
But the bigger problem is there is also obvious light leakage under the table.
It may be a decent stone. But I am not impressed either. I am not loving it.

If you click on this link, which is in the related topics directly below your post, You will see what the Idealscope is and can learn more about it if you like. The shadow comes from the black at the top of the Idealscope and is in the proper location to show the arrows if they are correctly aligned. What is an Ideal-Scope and how to use it? - Tools .
