Idealscope - for a set diamond?

I was wondering if there is anyone out there who has used an idealscope on a diamond that is already set in a ring, and if so, is the idealscope image similar to what it would be if the diamond were loose? Thanks.

I have. I don't think it will be quite as accurate, but if you've used them on an unset diamond and know what it looks like lined up I think you can at least get a general idea with a set one.
