I am after critique and advice on the stone I have purchased. Long story short, I jumped the gun and bought this stone thinking it would be perfect. Due to angles etc there was concern that the cut may not be as good as I hoped.

I have the ability to refund, so if the cut is not fairly close to something like a WF H&A Cut Above, I may want to refund it and continue the search...as painful as that is given I am on a very tight timeframe.

Hope its ok that I made this new thread, full thread/here for those following re my search and journey.

The Stone!
1.64CT, VS2, G, Strong Fluorescence. ~US$10k

GIA Report
Youtube of actual diamond (taken by me)

Idealscope / photos taken by me (note: first time using an idealscope/in not ideal lighting etc as was inspecting the stone in the jewellery store). Photos are taken with the store lights and light coming through the window, holding up A4 paper and taken using my iphone. The vendor or jeweller couldn't provide IS images so I bought an IS and did my own.

Strong fluorescence does not appear to cause any milky/cloudy issues in this stone.

My original brief was ~1.6ct eyeclean SI1 or VS2, I Color, up to Medium Fluoro. Budget $10k.

l’m not an expert, but l’ve been looking at & learning about mrb’s & observing ASET/IS images. Your stone actually looks really beautiful, to me*. Not much indication of leakage, under the table, but not extremely easy to tell, even after enlarging the photos; from what l can see, the images look really decent. The blue fluorescence really shows in your images, too...and, honestly, l really love that!
What do YOU think, in person, in different light environments? Is she a strong sparkler?

The hearts look off, but that is more because of the alignment between the camera and diamond (as you tried to valiantly hold both and not drop the stone!). The arrows look pretty nice. There is something going on where I circled the image (present in all but one IS image), but you did not seem to see anything with your eyes.

You keep mentioning WF ACA. Just to note that being an ACA (or any superideal) is really the top-tier of diamond performance. They have a precision and faceting that allow for maximum brilliance and fire. Your diamond does not show that kind of precision, but that does not mean its not a worthy diamond. Super-ideals are really the ferrari's of the diamond world. Some want a ferrari, some prefer the cost savings of a very nice BMW. The other difference is that the vendor does not seem to offer a tradeup policy. So, if your girl eveyr wants to upgrade (size/color/clarity), you will likely lose a fair amount on the purchase price of this diamond when selling it. With WF ACA and CBI from HPD, they guarantee that you can put the full value of the diamond toward the next one. That's a nice benefit.

You may wish to visit a Hearts on Fire vendor (http://www.heartsonfire.com/where-to-buy/hearts-on-fire-in-cities-near-you/australia.aspx) to see a super-ideal. Some vendors will allow you to pay for the diamond and take it to HOF to compare with a full refund possibility if you choose to not keep it. Don't buy from HOF (we call it 'wallets on fire'), but seeing your diamond and a super-ideal might clarity for you what path you want to take.

Matthews1127 is correct the IS images look really good.

The heart image the alignment is a bit off of the diamond/scope/camera but I can see enough to know its not h&a if that is important to you.
This is an instance when the gross gia rounding will throw off any test results based on numbers.
With in the gia rounding is the potential for an ags0 to ags3 grade.
Based on the IS this one is more towards the top of that range.

Good catch, slightly off lower, somewhat visible in the heart image.
Likely disappears from the IS image with slight tilt.
Not something that is going to be eye visible.

CA is a little high relative to super ideal stone range for CA but the IS images you’ve taken show this to be a quite good performer. Unless you are anally retentive about performance, I reckon this stone is a keeper. Congrats!
