Are there any threads on the ideal table and depth for a nice OEC? After looking at way too many stones online.....i have seen stones with Table 62% Depth 61% to Table 53% Depth 59%......
So confusing....... What are the best Table/Depth for an OEC???
I don’t think there is a standard “best” table/depth ratio for OECs. They kind of have to be evaluated like “fancies” - e.g., with your own eyes. Drool over jewels by grace and love affair diamonds and old world diamonds on Instagram for a couple weeks to get a feel of what style of OEC your eyes are drawn to more. Then, look at the stats to see where you’re at. If you’re like me, stats will not be consistent to what my eyes like. These stones are so individual that numbers just don’t mean as much.
Although, ASET images do help in analyzing light performance on any diamond. Most of the vendors above can provide that info. Or, buy your own and play (like I did in my avatar).
Yes to the above. You have to evaluate them with your eyes. Just like the fancy cuts. OECs come in different proportions and don't really follow hard and fast rules.
