I’m 5’6. Average build. (Mom body) Wrist size 6.25/6.5. Looking for an everyday watch. I have a men’s big crown MOP Oris 40mm. I wore it daily for a while. I’d like something more feminine but still wearable. I bought a 30 mm Cartier santos ronde. I LOVE this watch….the ss with smaller amounts of gold, the off white/taupe dial. But I’m wondering if 30 is an appropriate size? Of course it’s a long discontinued model so I can’t find a larger size of the 2 tone. I’m still under the return policy, with 2 weeks to consider. What size watch do others wear? What is ‘normal’?

I think this size looks great on you. I feel like the fashion for super huge watches may be waning, but what do I know. A Cartier in two tone is on my short list when I eventually buy a nice watch.

My wrist is a bit larger than yours, 7.5, and I like watches in the 28-30mm range. I don’t have a nice watch yet but these are mine. I find any larger and they feel bulky and uncomfortable. I am a daily wearer for actual time telling purposes though!

My watches in that size range.

Thank you, @Dreamer_D! I love that you have these pictures handy. Some are older, I can tell—I see that pinky ring! Your collection is beautiful, as always.

Maybe there’s no "ideal" watch size, and it just depends on the wearer? I think mine’s large enough to avoid looking like a dress watch, which fits my casual daily vibe but still looks polished. I’m leaning toward keeping it.

A Cartier or Omega two-tone has been on my wish list forever. I had some jewelry pieces ranked higher, but I can’t make a setting decision to save my life.

Hoping others will share more watch photos!

you have a young looking arm
as we age we need big dials if we dont want to get our reading glasses out to see the time

My favorite watches are a 32 (gold) Black Bay silver and gold and 34 (silver) Royal. My wrist is just shy of 7 inches. I think your watch looks perfect.

Thank you! Beautiful watches @MMtwo !

@Daisys and Diamonds its a middle aged arm. My forearm appreciates the compliment. Hah. I do not hear need glasses yet but that’s definitely worth considering.

Heh, if I needed to read the watch face without the glasses, I would need to wear it on my ankle.
