1)Is the ideal-scope useful only for determining the quality/light leakage of an "ideal" cut stone?
2)Can and should the ideal-scope be employed if one does not intend on purchasing an ideal cut stone, but does want a "well" cut stone?
3) If the ideal-scope is used to view non-ideal cut stones, should the defining criteria be slightly less stringent?
4) Taken from ideal-scope: "Most diamonds do not sparkle like they should because over 90% of the worlds diamonds are cut badly. FACT!*" Does this mean that less than 10% of diamonds are ideal cut and the remaining 90% are not cut to "maximize" brilliance, but are not all necessarily poorly cut? Or, does this mean that the remainder really are BADLY cut?
I hope these are reasonable questions. Thank you very much for your response(s) in advance!
