I was wondering If I could get some more opinions of this ideal scope image of the diamond I want to purchase from Whiteflash. It is an 1A cut on gemappraiser''s site but I just dont think it has enough red/pink on the ideal scope. It look like it has too much light leakage compared to the other princess cuts I have seen online. I am supposed to buy this diamond in the next couple days. Should I buy this diamond, help!!!!?

Also, here is the Sarin report from whiteflash.

Well, it could be a beauty. The funny thing is, is that I turned down a stone with four very concentrated areas of black surrounding the X. I understand that that is desireable, but the stone looked dark...not bright....so you never know...this might be a bright awesome stone...the crown is a bit low...but you never know...!

If you want to find out more about this read the newsletters at www.ideal-scope.com - the Decemebr and Feb issues I think so that you understand what benefits can come from leakage.

If any diamond is 100% red through an ideal-scope it will be dead dull and boring.
One thing you can do is look at the stone without backlight and see how well spaced and disseminated the leakage is.
This will help provide great contrast.

We are remaking the Ideal-scope site at present with my Moscow presentation to explain all this stuff for you

If I could chime in ...

Gary ... what you are saying is remarkably true. When I first got a FireScope I had made purchasing decisions with it that I later regretted. Interestingly the B'scope showed me things I hadn't learned using the Fscope and finally started studying why seemingly great Fscope/Iscope images were not producing the best stones. I'd love to read your article on the subject. If you have it in text form please send me a copy in email as I'd like to compare notes.
