Hello Everyone...what do you think about the diamond below and the Ideal Scope picture? It looks pretty good to me, but I''m still learning! :) It''s also priced below $4900 which is nice as well. I would really appreciate your opinions! Thanks in advance!

I can''t post the link to the picture (ERROR) and it won''t let me upload it because its too big...if I can find a program that re-sizes it I will try to post it again...sorry guys...

If that doesn''t work, Andrey will post it for you. The numbers look good anway!

Ok..I found a way to make it smaller...here it is...how does it look?

Delish!

Ellen- this might be a silly question but is it typical to see arrows on all diamonds even though it''s not a heart&arrows? Mine is not a H&A..but I thought it was pretty cool that you can clearly see the arrows.

I wouldn''t say "typical", but certainly possible. And that''s a good thing!

And no question is silly, it''s only silly not to ask.

Gorgeous stone.

Thanks Ellen for responding! You''re the only one! Appreciate it! I''m super excited about buying it!!!

You''re very welcome! When will you get it, and are you having it set first, or after?

It looks fabulous!!!

Wow, that looks like a great price! Do you mind me asking who the vendor is?

I can''t wait to see what you do with it!!

Thanks!! I actually already have a setting awaiting its arrival. It''s a Coast diamond halo setting. Which should make it look even a little biger! heehee Can''t wait to see how it looks!!! I hope it fits ok! lol

Oh one thing I wanted to ask about the ideal scope...is it strange that the top arrow (12''o''clock) isn''t fully alighned with the point right under it? Hope that makes sense...

hello, glad you found a diamond you''re happy with.
just a stab at ur Q, but i''d say its because its not a "true H&A" as you mentioned - but still looking good!

has 2 small hearts at the min. which means a few facets are out of precise alignment.
It would likely be considered near h&a.

nice stone if the price is right (i didnt check)

Thanks arjunajane! It looks like a keeper...still trying to understand the whole Idealscope thing. How come some images that I''ve seen around pricescope are dark red? I imagine these are firescope images instead? What I''m trying to look at how even the pink is, right? Because this would indicate less leakage. Should I be concerned that the whole picture is pink? LoL So many things to learn!

I tried looking at idealscope.com and even their images are closer to red than pink. What does this all mean?

it means they used the beginer scope instead of the Pro, and the WB of the camera is also a bit off.
The same information is there its just not as clear as with the pro scope.
The pink doesnt mean anything bad in this case just that a different scope was used.

Strm- sorry trying to understand what you are referring to by "min". Is this alignment concern common in non- H&A diamonds? Do you think this would be of any concern towards the overall brilliance/fire/sparkle of the diamond?

The face up view shows signs of 2 hearts being off more may be.
facets being in precise optical alignment is what makes a stone h&a so a non-H&A yes they are out.
The effect is debatable I think there is a small amount between true and near and more between true and none but even among those that agree there is the argument of how much is eye visible rages on.
nice stone if the price is right.

strm- i see what you are saying..between a true H&A and a near H&A the effect may not be as visible, but could be more visible between a true H&A and a non H&A..which makes good sense and some people as you said would probably leave it up to some to battle it out for decades.

Since this is not an H&A (not being sure how "near" it is) would you say the overall brilliance/fire/sparkle should still be at an excellent standard? Obviously I understand this is your opinion not fact, but I would be interested in hearing it!

The price is good I believe...but I''m looking for an excellent diamond that is not H&A (to avoid jumping in price).

its fine and looks like it meets what your looking for....

Strm- I feel like there is something you aren''t telling me haha :) Then again I''ve awake working so maybe I''m seeing things that aren''t there!

I''m not attached to this particular stone. Is there any red flag that I should be concerned about? The stone is on hold for me but I want to make sure it''s a sound purchase (let''s keep price out it). I''m one of those "too good to be true type of people". So please elaborate if I''m not seeing something. LoL

Thanks for the feedback everyone!

Bruin- I imagine you are ucla fan..sorry can''t adress your question. haha j/k I was actually offered the same stone thru various vendors online so i''m pretty sure they can all have access to the same inventory. I would go with the one you like and have them get you exactly what you want. All of them are extremely helpful!
