I doubt your F''s will be a problem. And yes, you can give props to your jeweler!
Exactly. Fortunately in today''s world we have an atmosphere that allows for more open dialogue about our rings. I can''t even imagine a time when you didn''t chose your ring , or perhaps your diamond, OR at least have the reassurance your significant other knows what kinds you like. This isn''t to say we should choose our ring/diamond, only that it is nice that we have the option. Its just great we have informed significant others.Date: 2/27/2008 3:58:54 PM

Wow, I''m quite sure that jeweler just earned a customer for life. It''s nice to see a retailer take care of their customers especially when they are dealing with something so personal and life altering as an engagement. No one should have to convince themselves that they like their ring. It should simply make you break down in tears when you first see it.
New specs are much much better, no red flags and if you liked it in person better it''s probably a nice stone. F color is super icey white. I used to own an F radiant and it always looked very icey.Date: 2/28/2008 11:05:39 AM

Thanks, everyone. My boyfriend is absolutely the best and I''m incredibly lucky. Am I allowed to say who the jeweler is on here? Because I would love to give them props and recommend them to anyone who lives nearby.
The specs of the OLD diamond:
.91 ct
VVS2
F
73% table
78.7% depth
VG/G P/S
5.77x5.02x3.95
The specs of the NEW diamond:
.92ct
VS1
E
68% table
68.1% depth
VG/VG P/S
5.53x5.46x3.72
I wanted the jeweler to keep some depth b/c I didn''t want it to look too glassy. And it''s not at all...it''s absolutely perfect! But there was definite darkness in the bottom of the old one and the new one looks so much brighter! It is a much more square than the last, which I like. The color went up to an E, which may pose a problem b/c my sidestones are still F color (trilliants), but they might change out the whole ring too. The jeweler was out yesterday when I went to look at the diamond, so we haven''t had a chance to talk about that yet.
I could have sat there comparing them forever, but it gets a bit awkward with your boyfriend and saleslady staring over your shoulder. I''m jealous of her because she gets to look at diamonds all day long. Maybe I should change professions.![]()
