After many weeks and months of searching B&M stores around my home and feeling like I was being taken advantage of every time I walked through the door I stumbled upon this forum. Everyone on here has been of great help in educating me on what to look for in a diamond and what and where it is worth spending my money.

In many threads I found references to a little place in New York called Good Old Gold. After checking out there web site and references on here I knew that this is where I needed to go. I searched their site for several weeks waiting and hoping that the diamond that was perfect for me would pop up. Well one day it did! I found a stone that was both mind clean, eye clean and in my price range. I immediately emailed Jonathan and his staff to inquire about the stone. After a little back and forth it was mine 2 days later!

At this point I decided to take a drive to the store itself to see the stone in person and to pick out the setting. I dealt with Marie and Darren while in the store and I must say they treated me better than I have ever been treated in ANY sales situation. They honestly talked to me like I was family. They took there time, made sure I was happy with every aspect of the purchase and just generally made me feel like I made the right choice by going with GOG.

Now that you know the brief story lets get on to the good stuff....

Here is my 1.02ct Princess, F, VVS1 stone in a solitaire setting:

Sims,

I just sent you an email. We do not allow outside image hosting on Pricescope which is why you are having difficulties. If you upload your photos directly to the forums you shouldn''t have problems.

Please let me know if you have questions.

Congrats, sims!! I can''t wait to see pictures!!

Congrats!! That''s great that you got to go visit them in person. I had the same kind of expirenece with WF even though i couldnt visit. Glad it went well for you....GOG was one of my choices too but just couldnt find what i wanted. Cant wait to see pics!!

Congrats - hope you can get your pictures posted soon!

I am glad that you got to meet the real people at GOG. I had a similar experience at WF. My DH bought a 2.14 princess stone and I wanted a custom, special setting. I found WF and since I am nearby, I did not have to ship my stone, but could hand deliver to them. Also I got to spend time with Brian and Joe. Brian showed me the work areas and explained what everyone does. The hour with Joe was pure bliss. He listened carefully, offered options, and in the end, I got the perfect setting. I am so glad that I got to do it that way.

I hope you post pictures soon.
