I'm glad you're back Kenny. Much strength to you as you deal with what life has dealt you.

As for me, well...

my new sweetie is an outdoors enthusiast who loves camping. Me, none of the above, but I like the guy.

We're preparing for a six-week plus cross-country road trip that will include lots of camping and hiking.

I'd insert an appropriate emoji here, but PS isn't giving me that option right now, so use your imagination! ;)

I had my annual Christmas in July party last Friday. A hundred people, Christmas tree decorated with pink flamingos, ham and turkey for dinner, 9 foot tall inflatable dinosaur in a Santa hat in the parking lot to guide people to the right place... yanno... the usual. Pinto Bean and LA Jennifer and her hubs joined in the festivities. That's what's been going on here!

It's good to see you, kenny! Not a lot of news here that's fit to print, but my dog goes to the groomer tomorrow, so he will come back fluffy and clean. That passes for great around here!

Yay! You're back!! No questions asked or explanations needed to anyone... we're all just glad to "see" you again :clap:

As for my life, all is pretty well. We moved in to a new (to us) house last week so I've been busy getting it all set up. I'm loving how it's coming along but man am I sore!!! We're also in the final stages of our CvB bespoking (is that a word?) and are patiently awaiting photos of my e-ring and SO's band; we were supposed to get some today but no such luck. Hopefully tomorrow. Lastly, we're trying to plan a couple of small getaways - one in September and one after Christmas. Any suggestions?

Welcome back, Kenny. I am sorry to hear that life has been difficult, wishing you all the best as time moves forward.
I don't post a lot about my life here, but since you asked: DD1 (recent college grad) got a job. Not in her field, but it's employment. DD2 is gearing up to start college, very exciting. DH and I have sold our current house (well, will be sold by end of Aug) and are purchasing a new one across the country, as that is where he finally found a job (I can get work in my field pretty much anywhere.) The new house is far too big for two adults, two dogs and a cat, ( so visitors will be so welcome!) but moving from $$$$$ CA to $$ NW New Jersey will do that, I suppose.
I'm hoping that coming back to visit PS will be a welcome distraction to you, as it was for me last winter/spring while in the eternal job hunting season.

Welcome back Kenny. Sorry things have kept you away. I hope things are going better now. Life here is chilly cos it's winter and it keeps raining though it's been sunnier recently which makes for sparkly diamonds outside.

I've just come back from holiday in Italy, stuffed with pizza and ice cream and the best coffee in the world. Now trying to keep 2 teens entertained through the rest of a very rainy summer!

I am off to Cyprus on Sunday for 3 whole weeks of hot, chilling out bliss, and it cannot come at a better time. I need some heat, some rest & some time with my family. And lots of ice cream. I need that too!
 
I'm glad you're back. We're currently hiking around Newfoundland trying not to get trampled by moose. Spectacular scenery and an island full of the nicest people we've ever met.

Hi Kenny, we missed you and welcome back.

What's new with me. I quit my job last week (still there as I gave them 5 weeks notice) and I have no future plans whatsoever. Besides just enjoying the summer. Just going to take it one day at a time.
And yeah my dh and I played host to Scandinavian and her family and we showed them the NYC sights and made sure they ate well too. Nobody left hungry haha.

Glad you are back and (((Hugs))).

What's new with me?
Well, at the moment, I have to make myself semi-presentable and rush out to meet a friend.
July was spent with family visiting from out-of-town, and the recent realization that I've got about 2,000 photos to review and determine if one or two might have worked out. Thank God, I don't have to pay for film to be developed! :eek2:
Yeah, taking more photos today while checking out our city's tourist sites.

Can I hire you to fly to Canada (no snow currently!), do a massive delete of my photos and give me some photography tips?
I often think of the photos you shared of the guppy giving birth. Amazing.

What's new with me...school is starting soon. Making sure my kids stay on top of things keeps my
anxiety level at an all time high. They are both teenagers and really seem to lag behind in the maturity

What's new with me? We left the Army and moved country - to the UAE! Not going to lie, it's really freakin hot right now...like 50 degrees celsius! :-o So not enjoying that particular element so much but otherwise it's great. New people, new food, new job. Lots of travel opportunities. :dance: The only major downside so far is we had to leave our beloved dogs behind (my parents gladly adopted them). It breaks my heart and I Skype them weekly but it's just not the same... :cry2:

What's new? Hmmm. Kids went back to school yesterday...yes, you read that right...July 31st!! We do a balanced calendar, so we will have a week off in Sept, a week in Nov, two weeks in Dec/Jan, a week in Feb and a week in April. School ends May 24th. Mentally, it was hard going back when the calendar said "July", but I like the overall schedule. However, I'm never ready to get back on the merry go round that is the school year. There's always WAY too much going on and the kids have little to no downtime to be kids, but that's another convo altogether.

Other than that, I'm gearing up to force myself to tackle some of our messier closets and weed out clothes that no longer fit the kids to donate. I hate doing it, but always feel good when it's done.

Chin up Kenny. We are here for you....
