We live in an area with a lot of coyotes and foxes. Our cat is mainly an indoor cat, but goes out some times ... usually for only a few minutes at a time. He pretty much never leaves our yard. This morning, before it was even light out, he escaped. We haven''t seen him since. It is very very unlike him to be gone for more than an hour, let alone 20. I am so sad. I know in my heart of hearts what most likely happened to him. There have been 3 cats that have gone missing in our neighborhood in the last week. Something is catching them. Thinking of something eating my poor kitty makes me so sad. It haunts me.
I hope that it was quick and he didn''t suffer too much.
Let this be a warning to all of you with kitties who live in an area with wild animals. Keep your precious fur balls inside!
