I placed an order for the Tacori 2616 and my jeweler told me that it won''t come in for 4 weeks or more. I specifically told my jeweler that I do not want a 6.5 ring size that they can size down for me. I told them i wanted mine to be customized for my finger size, size 4. They agreed. We placed the order on Saturday, I called them on Monday to tell them i only wanted the setting and not the stone (needed more time to think about the stone). Jeweler said the order for the setting had been sent out, so he couldn''t cancel the order, but as for the stone I can still keep looking. The next day, Tuesday, jeweler called my fiance that the ring was ready. Fiance questioned why it takes so soon, he was told that it takes weeks. Jeweler said sometimes they receive it earlier if they have it available. Fiance picked up the ring on Saturday and surpised me with it during out cruise. Mind you, my fiance likes to appease me and as a typical guy, what he knows about tacori is from listening to me.
Since I got the ring, i have been scrutinizing at it for about a week now. My first issue is that the ring looked like it was sized down for me from a 6.5 to a 4. First question is, on your authenticity certificate, does your style no. specify your ring size or is it a generic style that Tacori uses for all ring styles in that style?. Example: style no. "2616 RD 6.5". Or should it have said "2616 RD 4"???
2nd issue with the ring was that one side stone appears to have a different color than the rest. While other side stones looked white and shiny, this one stone appears dark and if you bring it far from the eye, it looks like there''s a missing side stone. Is this normal?
3rd question: I want to know what does the cert of authenticity tell you after your register your piece. Does it tell you the date it was made?
I''m in real distress because I want my money''s worth. I really don''t trust my jeweler and i should have follow my gut from day 1. Please advise. Thanks.
