Hi

I think I''m actually going to lock it down this time.. for real! I just wondered if anyone had an opinion on this. My friend said get the girl a carat b/c she will look at it about every ten minutes.

A little borderline on the HCA. Get an IS image and ask JA if it is eye-clean.

A carat is nice, but only if it''s well cut. An IS image will help determine this, and JA will happily provide one upon request. The smaller diamond you posted earlier looked nicely cut, so hopefully this one is too. If not, I would stick with the .75 stone you previously posted.

this one looks like a healthy compromise, but i am concerned about the ideal scope, it looks different on one half, vs. the other. and also the ags report says additional clouds (which I know cause some people controversy, but also surface grating... never seen that before).

Also, the HCA came out at a 1.4 i think, which sounds good.

IS looks good, what you are noticing is just the tilt of the rock when the image is taken. About the clarity, just check that it eye-clean. Those clouds and surfacing graining are not grade setting for the clarity so should be negligible in effect.

It looks fine, it looks fairly obviously tilted in the IS which often happens, there is a grade setting cloud, but in SI1 should be fine but check with JA. Clouds not shown in the comments section of the report are not an issue.

If you want to pursue the first diamond an IS is essential with that angle combo.

Cut >> Carat ( as long as carat difference is not immediately noticeable). I''m not sure if anyone''s eye can spot the size difference between a 0.75 and a 0.94 without using measuring instruments. But the IS looks good to me and JA''s service is top notch. Btw how does she feel about the slightly warm J-color?

The depth is higher on the 0.84 stone so the diameter difference isn''t negligible.

My vote is for the J as long as the IS image and clarity turn out to your liking.

I disagree...I think the difference in size is big enough to be able to spot easily.
