Interesting but DF's average for US closely corresponds with James Allen's .90 average! I tend to think, though, that a lot of smaller diamonds are sold at mall stores and other local jewelers.

But don't forget that Zale's and Kay's sell a lot of 1ct shitty stones at $1999... so my .95 ct prediction is correct for the avg center stone in the U.S. ...

I remember the post DF references because I was surprised that my 1.36 is above the average. I've never felt average on PS.
Were the poll scientific, I think the average would be larger for PS. Lots of huge stones here. And what fun to see them!

The avrages make me and my plus sized fingers feel much better! I found out my pinkies are the size of my sisters thumbs which threw me for a loop recently. I wear a 10.25 and feel like a giant. I just got my upgrade to 3.37 and thought it looked to small. (Expecially after looking at 3 carats on a size 4-5!) Thank god hubs just shakes his head and laughs at me.
