. . . MINE!!!
9.gif

OK, ladies . . . here''s the situation: DH always lets me pick out my own Christmas gift, and I always let him pick his own. We''ve gone a little nuts with Christmas and birthday presents for each other in recent years, so we''re trying to be a little more budget-conscious this year. I have a budget of about $300 to $500 to work with. The problem is, I have NO IDEA what to pick!!!
32.gif

I''ve been considering a new Coach bag. (I already have three, but I''d like a kinda casual brown one in leather, since all three of the ones I currently own are signature fabric.) Or, of course, JEWELRY!!! Anything in yellow gold with diamonds or gemstones would be great (as long as the gemstones aren''t pink . . . I can''t stand pink). Any ideas??? I''ve been very good this year!

There''s my favorite Supa Granny!!!

Ya know, Miss Linda, I really just can''t decide! DH usually gets me jewelry for Christmas, but last year he got me a new saddle for Red (custom-fitted no less)! In 2006, he got me my diamond tennis bracelet, and in 2005 he got me my diamond three-stone necklace. My gift in 2004 was my e-ring!
30.gif

Now that I have my studs that DH got me for my birthday this year, I think I have all the major body parts covered (ears, neck, wrist, and left ring finger). Of course, there''s ALWAYS more room for bracelets and rings, and I can always get another hole put in my ears if need be! LOL!

Personally, if I were you, I would get something from Erica Grace. I want something so bad and a lot of the necklaces and watches are great prices! Ha I look at the website everyday!

Thanks, ILA! I do love her site . . . some of her stuff is absolutely GORGEOUS! And I''m a sucker for those antique cut diamonds!

Unfortunately, after checking out her selection, it looks like most of what is in my price range is white gold. Sadly, I can''t wear white gold because I''m allergic to nickel.

Thanks again for the idea, though!

Of course jewelry is always wonderful, as are handbags, but have you ever thought about art? It could be fun to go together and buy something you both love to hang over the fireplace.

Starry, that''s a great idea . . . only we don''t have a fireplace! LOL!

I know what you mean, though. Art would be nice, but DH and I pretty much have all of our walls covered already. Plus, he seems to hate it when I ask for something for the house. He wants me to get something that''s "just for me." I remember asking for new kitchen appliances for my birthday the first year we lived in our house, and it was SO hard to get him to agree to that! He''s such a nut! LOL!

The $300-$500 item I''m craving is SEXY BOOTS! In fact, these are the ones I''ve been eyeing ... though they''re a bit "practical" & a bit sexy but WHAT!!! They''re on sale!!!!! Gotta run .....

Maybe you could get a fireplace to go below your art!

Kidding. How about something like Lalique crystal? Or some other brand of crystal vase and the promise of flowers for it every month?

Hee hee hee! Don''t I wish! LOL!

The vase and flowers every month sounds like a nice idea . . . hadn''t thought of that! Of course, I would have to hope that DH remembers to get me the monthly flowers though!

I fear that I have a problem. I''ve been eyeing up this floral diamond eternity band from Fay Cullen for quite a while now, and I would LOVE to have DH get me this for Christmas. That band looks even sweeter to me now, because today I found the identical band at Pearlman''s, and it''s a BEVERLEY K!!! (The only real difference appears to be that Pearlman''s price is about $800 higher than Fay Cullen''s.) BUT . . . it''s about twice the upper limit of my budget!

Hmmmmm . . . perhaps I can talk the hubby into a budget increase!

Colored gemstone?

Colored gemstone?
Oooooooh . . . definitely a possibility!
31.gif

I love coach bags! I''d gladly take one of those! But if I had $500 I might go to oldworlddiamonds.com and get the biggest, warmest colored OEC I could find with big chunky facets.

I think a nice COACH bag sounds delightful! I always think that though - for any occasion!
9.gif

Kelli & Jo, thanks! I''m still considering a Coach bag, and the antique cut diamond idea sounds like a good one, too!

A nice watch might be nice. Not sure if you need/want one, just something I thought of.

Ya know, Ellen, I had considered a watch . . . but I just don''t think I''d wear one. I don''t really own a decent watch, but I do have an old cheapo one that doesn''t run anymore. It probably just needs a new battery, but I never wore it anyway so I haven''t bothered to get it fixed. Maybe I would wear a watch if I had a nice one that I really liked? Definitely something to think about!

Maybe you can make a deal, like the Fay Cullen ring for a combined Christmas and Valentine''s Day gift? If not, do you like any of these rings: Barry Kronen at SB''s?

I saw a 20% off coupon floating around the internet too, so one of these might be even more affordable, if you like them.

Oh wow - it that band really is gorgeous!

Starry, that sounds like a FANTASTIC idea! Maybe if it''s both a Christmas and V-Day gift, he''ll agree!

PS ladies should get a "group purchase" discount from Coach.

Are my favorite SUPA grannies chiming in? (((hugs)))

Have you ever seen http://www.versani.com/?

I happened upon them in SoHo the other week and picked up the long yellow sapphire earrings in yellow gold. VERY affordable for what you get. And the sapphires are cut SO well they have amazing brilliance. You can see them from across the room even though they are little ~20 pointers!

These are the ones I got -- in 14k gold and yellow sapphires. They come in all colors, though...and also in sterling!

Hi Irish!!!

I love that BK band!!!!! I would totally do a combo gift...Give Bill Pearlman a call....He is awesome to work with...He gives PS-ers great prices, plus they are running a 20% off sale now too, so the price may be better than you think it would be!!!!! Happy holidays!!!!

DF ~ LOL! I totally agree! Coach needs to hook us up!!!

Bliss ~ There''s my Supa Granny! How have you been? Long time no "see"! And thanks for the earring idea . . . those are BEAUTIFUL!!!
30.gif

Dani ~ Soooo, 20% off you say? And Mr. Pearlman gives us PSers better prices in the first place? ENABLER!!!

If you like that floral band, overstock.com has a few similar to it that are also in your budget. I haven''t bought jewelry from overstock but they do have comment/review section for every jewelry item and a verrrryy extensive selection, from crap to good finds...
As far as your white gold allergy goes, I read somewhere on PS that white gold can be alloyed with many different metals so if you''re allergic to nickel you could do white gold that''s alloyed with silver and palladium (palladium stays bright shiny white for longer too)...
Let us know what you decide on! :)
