I wish you only the best DS and I wish you lots of luck with the process. These diamonds will be the death of us yet - ha!

One last question on the subject. Would you be happy having two erings to change up from time to time? Or are you the type of person that only wants one? I know many here have more than one ring and enjoy the ability to change the look. I'm not one of them - maybe that's lucky or maybe it's not - but would it matter to you that all your eggs wouldn't be in one basket? Just a bit more food for thought. . . now I'll stop - promise!

DS... they are local to me, I think. If they are willing to put up with a PS troupe coming through I can ask to see if anyone in the Nor Cal groups wants to go on a field trip. I'm a horrid picture taker but there are quite a few good ones in our bunch. Then you can call them and ask them to show us what they have (if they have something that suits you from the phone description) and we can take pics for you and post them. Plus it would be fun for us.

Whoa! Now that would be fun! I want to go, too! Why is it that the diamonds I need to look at are in NY and the rings are in CA??? Neither is an easy or convenient trip!

I hate to let anyone do that on my behalf, because it is sort of an unusual place from what I've heard..just a workshop. They probably have hundreds of designs that are not pictured on their site, so it would be tough to figure out what to ask them to show. I am sure they are all little works of art, even the ones that are not ones personal taste. I'd just love to see them all.

I talked to Mr. VC yesterday and I felt like I was talking to someone from another time. It kind of adds some romance to the ring. I think it is possible that this will become a lost art. He said that many of the master craftsmen have left because they can make more money doing other things. I think he would be proud to show off his rings if you or anyone ever wants to go. But I couldn't let you do that just for me. You are a sweetheart for offering, though!!!

MGR, that is an interesting question. For some reason, I really don't like wearing a ring on my right hand. I guess it is just because I always wear one on my left and the right hand just isn't used to a daily wear ring (plus it would get more wear on the right hand). Up until now, I certainly have only had one wedding set at a time. I still have my originals, but I've never worn them since getting the new rings. So I had planned on making the new ring as an alternate for my left hand. I actually do sometimes wear the Memoire band alone when I don't want to wear the diamond, so I guess I look at it as a chance to have variety. If we all had a hypothetical $50k to spend on rings today, I am quite certain that many would spend that amount on 1 e-ring and wedding band. But I'd probably make 2 e-rings and one nice eternity band or 5 stone band with that budget! (A three stone ring would also be on my wishlist and also a 5 stone band...so I like some of the same things you do!!!)
