Okay, so I found this setting that I love. One problem. It''s made my Verragio and costs an arm and a leg (over 3000). Is it possible to purchase a setting that is basically the same but for the 1200-1600 range?

Here it is.... it retails at about 3000...

I''m sure that you can find something similar. I''m not exactly sure where to go, but a local B&M might be a good bet. They have hundreds of books with castings from places like Adwar and I am sure that somewhere there is a similar setting.

Someone recently just posted that they bought a ring like this, but I don''t remember for the life of me where it was. Probably in Rocky Talk or Show Me, it was a guy who had just bought it for his fiance I think. It was in the past few weeks.

A girl in one of my grad classes has a ring just like this and she said that her fiance got it at the mall here. The mall in question has a Zales, a Kays, a Helzberg, and maybe one other not great place. So he must have found it at one of those stores!

But Verragio makes good quality stuff and I am betting that it won''t be the same quality for half the price, just the same look.

If I see anything like it, I''ll let you know!

Here it is. I don''t know how cheap it is or whether it''s close enough. But it looks similar to me! Hope this helps.

Well, having it made in white gold would help some...

You might check with WF, Maytal, etc etc how much it would cost to custom design a similar one....it doesn''t hurt to ask!

I saw a ring similar to this at a local B&M on satuday. I don''t know if it was the same brand or not, but I must say the profile view was startling. Their website doesn''t list Verragio, but they do have Tacori, Ritani, Scott Kay, etc, so I guess there''s a good chance it was the real deal. Whatever the case, the style definitely shows off your diamond!

You might want to see if you can find a good local jeweler who does custom work. A respectable jeweler won''t make an exact copy for copyright issues, but they can take the elements you love and make it one of a kind. They can also work with you to find a way to capture the spirit of that design while coming closer to your budget.

Good luck!

A couple of people here at PS have that same setting, or very very similar. Try WhiteFlash, Quest Jewelers, and Knox Jewelers. Instead of platinum, try 14K or 18K whitegold to keep the cost down.
