I love the stacks everyone shows. I have an e-ring which has a setting where rings don’t sit flush. We got a wedding band to tie in the best we could (plain bands didn’t look right although I love a plain band). I like baguettes
would you add to this to make a stack If so what, or leave alone?
You have a beautiful ring. I wouldn't add to your set, but if you want a stacked look would you be willing to wear your wedding band on your right hand? Then you could expirement to see what you like- possibly with a couple of thin bands.
I feel your pain as that classic and lovely baguette sides setting is a pain in the proverbial to match bands with, especially the tapered option you have.
I do think you’ll struggle to stack with that band since it’s effectively like having a curved band given its shape.
I would wear the wedding band on your other hand and stack in some thin engraved or pave bands if you want to stack. You could look at an open band to slot between your ering and wedding band like this?
Or one where it pinches in the middle?
What sort of stack do you like? I don’t stack my wedding set because it just doesn’t look right to my eye. RH is where I do my stacking.
Your rings are beautiful!! I think they are perfect as is. That said I also like the ideas about possibly moving your wedding band to your right hand and stacking two thinner bands under your engagement ring. I recommend buying a couple inexpensive rings from etsy or ebay to get a feel for what looks good and what you like. That has helped me so much!! I recommend bands that are 2.5mm wide or less. For your engagement ring, I think a bead set diamond band and an engraved band would look lovely.
I think it's perfect as is. You've done an almost impossible thing, matching a ring with baguette sides to a baguette band with a huge gap, and done it perfectly! There's nothing to improve on here. What kind of stacks do you like? If you are committed to stacking, maybe thing about doing a RHR stack independent of your wedding set (a blank slate!!), moving your wedder over to the right and stacking around it, or moving your wedder to the right and stacking around the left. Breaking up that perfect pair you've nailed isn't my favorite, and staring fresh on your RH seems like a super fun adventure to me ....
Thanks everyone for your helpful and very lovely comments.
Im sentimental about having my wedding band on my left hand with my ering so will leave these two alone.
You’ve all helped me see that is the right choice.
....still have my right hand free
I like it the way it is or if you want to stack I like @foxinsox 's ideas with the open bands. The other part of the issue with that setting and stacking
rings is to find ones that sit up high enough to give some presence. Stacking bands that are low will not look right with it. I would try a lot on in
person before buying anything on-line.
