If so, count me in! I''m 47 and I need to wear a supportive bra with underwire and I''m sick and tired of them!

I hate underwire - because of the squeaking! Does anybody else get squeaking from the wires?
Steel

OMG ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. YAY YAY YAY YAY YAY. OUR DANCING FIRE IS BACK!!! BOY HAVE I MISSED THESE REMARKS. HA HA HA HA HA HA HA
I was reading through this thread and completely agree. Why do some places measure differently? One place measures the band around the rib cage and adds 4 or 5 inches. Another place measures the upper chest above the breasts to determine band size. What''s up with that? What''s really the right way to measure yourself?

DF, too funny! I so did not expect that!

I managed to find a few comfortable and pretty bras recently and was chuffed to have won.

Steel: 1 Bra shopping: 0

But when I was tidying up this morning I found one of them (the prettiest, IMO) behind the dog''s bed chewed right through the two cups, I knew it was too good to last. Comfortable, pretty & ''easy to buy'' bras are the holy grail. Even if you do find them, the dog will chew ''em up...

I''m still LOLing about the dog who ate the bra

Sorry, Steel

This is certainly one of the very few...if ever times I can get away with saying this:

That''s a nice looking chest jstarfireb!

DF - Thank goodness! It''s been tough trying to hold the fort down here!

Joflier... that is one interesting visual! I should probably not start reading threads beginning with the last page...

Why thank you very much, treefrog!

So DF, I guess you didn''t care for the chest shot I posted then?

See how I''ve been "Ra-ra-ing the troops while you''ve been on sabatical!

I only own underwires and I have never once heard a squeak!

To all the ladies wondering where to get 30" band sizes, check out Figleaves. Not only do they stock 30" band sizes, they do 28" too! My current favourite bra is this one. I find balconet styles are the key for me, I fall out the sides of the demis! Now if only I could find a smooth t-shirt bra that is as good as this one is...

Here you go DF

Funny nobody else has squeaky underwires....

I have two favourite bras that I have retired to ''around the house'' wear because it is very strange to sit at work and suddenly hear squeaksqueaksqueak!

I have narrowed down the squeak to the end of the wire (when I cross my arm over my boob and my arm presses on the wire causing a squeak).

Really, am I alone on this?

You aren''t alone! Some of my underwires make a creaky sort of sound. They weird me out a bit, for sure!

Maybe I need my hearing checked! What if I''m squeaking all over the shop and everyone hears it but me?!?

Ugh.

I need to go bra shopping because my bras no longer fit comfortably, but I really don't want to. Pre-preggo, I would barely fit in A-cup bras, maybe I fit in them now. Thing is, if I do buy bigger bras and I keep getting bigger during the next 16 weeks of my pregnancy or go back to my "normal size" later, they won't fit for very long... And they're just too expensive to wear them for a couple of months only. In any case, I really hope I'll be able to find a few nursing bras that fit!

ETA: Can someone explain to me why most bras have underwires now, even A-cup bras?! These things HURT!
39.gif
Seriously, bras are torture devices.
