I''d rather have a root canal!!! Pouring a large glass of wine now. Anyone else rather stick a fork in their eye????

Yup. I now appear to be a 34 DD [from a C/D]. WTF! Still a size 4. Did not buy a new bra. Will try again it the fall when it is not so hot!

I hear ya. I''ve literally tried on 20 or 30 in a trip before. Sometimes, I think I''ve found the "one", spend way too much money on it, only to discover it doesn''t fit so well after all.

Plus, I''m EXTREMELY modest so I won''t let the ladies with the measuring tape within 10 feet of me!

My band size has decreased but cup size has increased, and the combo is nearly impossible to find!!!! Plus, finding something that fits, is comfortable, AND looks good under clothes seems to be completely exclusive!!!!!!!!

Pours another glass of wine......

I cannot, Cannot, CANNOT wear bras from VS. I'm a 34 DDD and the cups just are not made to actually cover and hold up a boob!!!! (can I say "boob" on PS? I've become very familiar with the rules lately, but cannot recall if this is verboten)

I think this is a nightmare for anyone..

I have always had the hardest time shopping for bras. I''d honestly rather shop for jeans... And that is REALLY saying something!

The ladies at Dillard''s are a God send!

Hmmmm . . . Don''t forget bathing suits!

Yes, but they can cover more, and you don''t HAVE to swim!

Yeah... I USED to be a 36 B (and on the small side of the B). I lost 9 pounds this summer, and now I can barely fill out an A!!!! WTF!?

I swear, once I have kids i'm totally getting a boob job. It is so hard to find bras and clothes that fit me right, as I am not a petite build, but have super petite tata's.

I agree--bra shopping is an absolute nightmare. Also, whenever I seem to finally find a good bra, it is almost immediately discontinued. Why?! I just want to buy the same dang bra that fits me! VS is so guilty of doing this, and they have been doing some major size inflation lately. I have been the same weight, with the same measurements, for about 10 years, and all of a sudden, I have had to buy the next cup size up. I don''t know if they are trying to flatter me or what, but I am just confused--isn''t the sizing supposed to be more or less standard? Ugh. I feel frustrated just thinking about it!

So, are you having red or white, Upgradable? Can I have some?

They have done that, haven''t they!! I''m also a small band size with a larger cup size which has always made it difficult. All of my old bras fit, but when I went into VS the other day I had to go up a cup size. Ridiculous! I just want to buy the same old bra!

I''ve noticed the same thing about VS bras. I''ve worn the same size for the last 10 years and I bought one last week, got it home and the darn thing didn''t fit. I am sure they''ve decreased their sizes.

Except they stopped carrying a 32As in most of their pretty lines. I got got an add in the mail and none of the bras came in my size. I guess VS is going towards a "average" figure, whatever that means.

At this rate I might have to do what my hairstylist does, go to the pre teen section. At least Nordstrom carries speciality sizes and the sales people don''t make you feel like a freak of nature.

I will have a glass with you Upgradable

ETA: I have never had that wine, but Shiraz is one of my favorite types, so I might pick up bottle next time I am out.

Wow! Come for the bras, stay for the wine.

I''d much rather bra shop than swimsuit shop, but I''d rather drink wine than do either.

Loathe shopping in general, but yes, I''d sooner poke red hot needles into my eyes than go bra shopping. Now I just wait until I go back to the UK and head for good old M&S. Mind you these days it''s not so much bras I need as steel rigging.

I have to say I love Gap''s Lightly Lined Tee Shirt Bra. I just bought three more. They are very comfortable, easily my favorite bra! They are my daily bra, every thing else I buy is just fun extras.

After having the kids, I''m not so perky anymore..sigh. I was sooo small to begin with, and now I need some LIFT. I did find an amazing lifty bra at VS-I don''t recall the name and I''m too lazy to get up and look, but it has animal print on the inside and practically a shelf to perch the breasticles on. Up and out. And it''s so incredibly comfortable..but where the straps meet the band in the back isn''t very good, so it started to rip..I sewed them back down but not sure how long it''ll last...and for as expensive a dang bra that was, I can''t afford to buy several of them every year just cuz the dumb things rip.

I looked at JC Penneys (before finding the VS one) and a couple of the bra people asked if I needed fitted..well, no, not by a young lass who I''m pretty sure just graduated high school yesterday and who''s nubbins are prolly still perched high and proud where they''re supposed to be.

I, for the most part, have given up wearing bras.

I don''t have boobs so I just order the smallest bras from Gap Body and they usually do the job

So jealous of you girls with the B and C cups!

Me too. but only because mine are too small, no lifting needed.

I found the ''one'' couple of years ago (Berlei) and haven''t looked back since. I have it in so many colours now.

Bra shopping sucks. Even the ones that fit best are uncomfortable by the end of the work day, so I usually peel them off and let the girls be free under comfy clothes when just lounging at home. J doesn''t mind in the slightest.

But oy, the strapless one I got to wear under my wedding dress actually hurts after a while...so not looking forward to wearing that! Maybe the dress can be made with extra cup support or something so I don''t need to wear a bra with it? Otherwise am going to be highly uncomfortable all night, both nights of our weddings. Ack.

I found a bra at Victorias Secret.. since I''m uhm.. unable to wear the cutest tiny fashion bras
20.gif
.. I love this bra.. its pretty and still has great support AND its comfortable.. Its called the Perfect One (Heidi Klum''s favorite, btw).. it comes in a variety of colors.. trust me.. bra shopping is about the worst thing in the world to me.. and this bra rocks. I''m a picky girl when it comes to ''the girls'' and this is my new favorite.. I have three now.. love love love.

I need a new bra to take on vacation with me so I''ll go give that one a try today!

I used to be a HUGE IPEX fan. I think I''ve had 6 of those over the past few years. Then last year I ordered a few through the mail and when they arrived I realized that VS had started making them more cheaply so I returned them. I ended up finding some in my size on eBay but they are pretty worn out now too. I''ll go give the Perfect One a shot!

I''ve been avoiding bra shopping for a few weeks now because I HATE it! I usually go to VS because I never like the fit anywhere else, and it used to be easy for me to find comfortable bras that I likes there, but lately it''s like they don''t fit anymore! Some others mentioned this earlier, so I guess maybe it''s not just me. I thought somehow I changed sizes (which didn''t make sense because all my old bras still FIT me, they just need to be replaced because they''ve been around for a while). I guess VS just started making them differently....?

I''m with you. I hate bra shopping. So much for standard sizing/fit. Guys don''t know how lucky they are that they never have to go bra shopping (for themselves).

I''m small, so I''ve never really worn a bra for much support, they''re really to help me look like I have a nice shape under clothes. I''ve always thought that the Body by Victoria Shaping Demi-bra did that the best, but they have changed the shape of the cups about four times in the last twelve years and that frustrates the life out of me. I went in and tried on some recently and it seems to me that the rib band part is bigger than it was before.
5.gif
It didn''t bother me too much because VS had a "two for one" sale a couple of years ago and I scooped six bras during the sale and still have a few wrapped in tissue in storage.

If anyone wore the Body by Victoria bra and you''re unsatisfied with their current style, Calvin Klein has a very similar bra in his line. You just have to go down a cup size in his. For small girls, Calvin Klein also has a bra with some nice lower cup fill in it that will be great under sweaters or with tops with a lower neckline. I''m looking forward to wearing that one this fall.

The same thing happens after menopause that happens to many women after giving birth- deflation! Now I need a good bra to help me look like I have a chest.
