ugh, ate two lunches today: Brought my lunch and proceeded to eat it a bit earlier than usual. I was hungry. A friend pings me in g-chat and says, "what time should we go to lunch?" I totally forgot we made plans to meet up today! Needless to say I could have stopped eating my packed lunch and waited till my lunch date to eat...but nope. I finished lunch #1 then finished lunch #2 a couple hours later...

I''m so gross.

But I got so much work done today...so maybe the extra calories helped?

I thought I was soooooo smart getting myself to DC for our weekend away on Amtrak since my flight home from NY got all messed up. It might all backfire on me because the winds are SO bad here that planes aren''t flying into Reagan right now. DH is delayed a couple hours and hopefully he''ll get here soon! In the meantime, I''m going to take myself to the Museum of Natural History. Not only do they have things that sparkle, I think they have a visiting diamond!

Definitely check out the hall of gems .....it should be really quiet today because of all the snow!

Unfortunately, it wasn''t quiet. There''s no snow in DC. There was a whole freaking school trip in the gemstone section. Didn''t stop me from elbowing my way to the front and taking pictures of everything. I''ll post a few when I get back home. The Hope Diamond was as fabulous as ever....

I''ve just had my own mortality checked. A guy I went to school with- couple years older than me- was killed yesterday. I hadn''t thought of him in years and years, but it just hits home. His obit is online and I looked it up because I couldn''t remember if he was one or two years ahead of me. Only 35. Way too young to die......

I split treats into their serving size, and put them in plastic baggies. I only allow one per day. I have zero sef control, but for some reason, this works for me... wine on the other hand... once I pop a bottle...
