I just need someone to tell me I'm imagining it...

I know its probably because I used to have this diamond in a halo and then had it reset into a solitaire because it was too bling for me in the halo but for a 2.75ct center stone, does it look small to you? face up measurements are 7.85 x 7.81. My ring size is pretty small, 3.75. I think that wearing the halo for a while made me get used to the finger coverage so now I'm suffering from a slight case of DSS. Can you guys just tell me I'm imagining it and that it does look bigger than my original ering that was a 1.59ct ring? its ok to tell me that I'm crazy and its all in my head. LOL

new ering (without halo, just in a replica of my first setting that hubby designed):

No worries, your new e-ring looks quite large on your tiny finger and it is clearly much bigger than the stone you had before. You are just getting used to its different appearance without the halo. Relax and enjoy your stunning ring!

Maybe you just need to have a "ring break". Sometimes when I feel like I am getting DDS I take my ring and put it away for awhile for me it best if it is a few weeks or so. I have an eternity band that I can wear as an alternative wedding band.

Then when I take my "rock" back out I can appreciate much more.

Maybe jumping fro the halo to solitaire is just a hard visual jump. But if you take a break it will seem plenty large.

I Love the split shank solitaire by the way.

Hope this help

Definitely looks bigger!!!! Ring shrinkage is awful. I would clean it paint your nails and pop it back on!!

Most diamonds shrink about .12mm per yr... ;))

It is definitely larger!! Like the others, I think your eyes are making the adjustment. It's beautiful though!

I cant wait to tell my hubby that....LOL

Don't worry about it. We ALL imagine it all the time. DSS. And DSS probably won't go away until it covers the whole width of your finger... Give yourself and your ring a break. You need a time out from Pricescope. ;)

I think I do. It was that show me your 3 ct+ thread that did me in. Lol.

Perhaps DSS was the reason you decided to change to the halo. Perhaps remember your reasons for changing back to your original setting including that it was the one your DH originally chose for you. I think it looks incredibly elegant on your hand.

From someone else who left the halo for a solitaire.. I will sometimes go to the mirror and look at the ring in the mirror on my finger. It's a different perspective then gazing down upon it. I know.. weird PS tactics to make DSS go away or at least take a rest before returning. Snap a picture if it helps.... Your ring is beautiful.. I love the split shank!

I think your ring is beautiful! I waver back and forth with wanting a halo myself, but I have come to the conclusion that the only way to solve that is to have more than one ring!

One thing you should know is that cushions sometimes face up small for their weight. An excellent cut round brilliant of 1.8 cts will have a diameter close to 7.8mm. My AVR which is a newly cut OEC is 2.3 cts and 8.4mm. It definitely looks larger than your original stone, though, and with your tiny fingers, it looks big!!!!

Your ring is spectacular! I love it so much! Very elegant and classy! Looks huge on your tiny finger, and I think it looks larger than the halo...with the rock as the star it's more clearly a stunning stone.

holy smokes! YES! It definitely looks bigger. And gorgeous!!!! Sometimes I find myself thinking that my 1.5 carat round looks tiny. So I take it off for a few days and just wear my band. When I put it back on, I always am happy with it again!

I think you possibly have a slight case of DSS because it looks quite large to me! I can definitely see the difference. I love the finger coverage and your ring is truly spectacular!

Oh I can definitely see a difference between the two stones, and your current diamond looks huge on your tiny finger!

You are definitely imagining it. Your ring is HUGE! Maybe take a week off from both it and Pricescope and it will seem big as ever! I know I see 3-4 carat rings in person that don't even phase me because of PS.
