I just found my missing diamond band

I'm sick, it's raining hard and I am bored to tears so I decided to check the kitchen again for my missing bands and I sure did find the diamond band!!

However, I was convinced the sapphire band was with it and it is not here, so I seriously have no clue where that one went.

But this is the big one that was missing so I am very relieved to find it!

Thanks. I feel like they (i have two of them) are 1) too large and 2) out of style.

Any ideas on what to do? They are in plat and each 1 carat tw.

Maybe dbty or keep them in case it comes back in style? Travel bands? IDK

They look to be channel set - classic and timeless. What does one look like paired with your engagement ring or your new solitaire ring?

No matter though - glad you found them! I hate when things are lost!

@MissGotRocks I think the stones are too large for either ring you mention.

I don't have to do anything with them right now. I like them as bands but they don't go with anything I have right now.

It is beautiful! Wear alone or when you don't want to wear your other rings. A RHR for added bling.

First, I agree they are timeless. Of course you could wait for those bands to "come back in style" to wear alone. But stacking rings are very much in style right now. Why not put a colored stone band between them? Besides a larger band to match in between the two, you could try on very thin colored bands between and on both ends of the "stack" to see how you like the look. Peter Suchy still sells Sheldon Speyer mini-mania rings which are very, very thin. I haven't kept up with who does stacking rings, but since they are in fashion, I bet many people do very thin ones with colored gems.

A frie no of mine had them reset to prong set and combined them into s nice double row 2 ct band. Hers were not eternity but you could make a nice 4 row band. :love:
 
Woohoo! Congratulations for finding your bling! Sapphire band soon to follow hopefully!

I hope you are feeling much better and yes please rest and drink plenty of fluids. Take it slow and steady because it takes a long time to fully recover from this flu.

If you aren't wearing these, I'd reset the stones into something else that you'd actually wear and find aesthetically pleasing. Lots of options like dbty, eternity with a different setting or with colored stones, bracelet, line or hoop earrings.

Yes. I feel like these bands would serve me better if they were 1/2 carat each or one 2 carat, ya know? They are basically the wrong sizes for what I have...

I think the style makes them great as a travel band.. channel settings always seem so sturdy and standalone to me.=)2

I lost then found my asscher last year. But since the ring was lost for so long, we used the insurance money to buy a transitional to replace the asscher. Then when we found the asscher we had to pay the insurance back. I plan on selling the transitional this year sometime. I was going to sell the asscher. John even agreed, but ultimately I couldn't do it. It has too much sentimental value.

The ring in my AV is an HPD creation. I'm working for them as a sales associate now. So it seemed appropriate to change my AV.

I'm overall well... have learned so much here and have added some very nice pieces to my collection-- including a .58 HPD that will eventually be a side stone in a 3 stone ring. I thought your avatar was an HPD ring-- saw it on IG or FB....

Have you seen Cflutists three stone? She posted it on RT. I adore three stones! You lucky lady. My AV project was on both IG and FB, so I am happy you recognized it! I got to wear it for a couple days (we don't wear ANY of our customer's pieces, EVER, but the Lily setting wasn't for a customer it was a house project so it was an exception) and it was so much fun, so it seemed like the right image for my new PS presence.

I am happy you are well. I am enjoying watching the Olympics this week and generally good as well.

I am going to have to go check out your SMTB threads if you've posted your acquisitions on here!
