My e ring courtesy of GOG, great people to deal with.
Had to take a sneaky pic of it in the car, then back to hiding the ring until it's time
I will be proposing soon, I hope she likes it.

Question, what's the consensus on the best insurance provider?

Beautiful! You made a wonderful choice!

If you're in the US, it sounds like Chubb and Jeweler's Mutual are popular insurers.

I'm sure she'll love it, the ring is really, really pretty! We need more pics though.

it's beautiful! NO WAY she won't love it :)

Gorgeous choice!! She's going to love it. :appl:

Oh yeah.

What's not to love?

Thanks for the compliments :wink2:

It's gorgeous! I'm sure she'll love it! I use Jeweler's Mutual for insurance. I have heard that Chubb no longer does standalone jewelry policies, but you could always call.

It's lovely, good luck with the proposal, I am sure she will love it :wavey:

I'm sure she's going to love it! It's beautiful!

Beautiful, beautiful ring! I'm sure she'll love it !!! Please come back with hand picks!!! Good luck with the proposal :appl:

It is beautiful! Congrats on your upcoming proposal!

Wow, gorgeous ring! I'm sure she will be over the moon!

Regarding insurance, Jewelers Mutual is pretty highly regarded, but there is no real 'best' company. Shop around and see what quotes you get. If you already use State Farm or similar for home and auto insurance, it might be cheapest to add a personal jewelry policy with your existing insurance co.

Whats not to love??? Congratulations!!!

It's gorgeous, I'm sure she will be thrilled! congratulations!

Thank you all for the wonderful compliments :)
I have Geico for car insurance and Liberty Mutual for home owners insurance. I'm a bit wary of putting the ring on my home owners policy, as I have saw some reviews online that they will not cover the ring if it's lost or stolen outside of the home. I guess that would be question to ask my home insurer. Jewelers Mutual seems to be the front runner from my online reviews; although I have came across some negative reviews about them ignoring and dragging out claims, which is a bit disconcerting.

Oh, she definitely will  How soon is "soon"? Looking forward to handshots!

I use JM as well - haven't had to make a claim and hope I never do, though, so I'm not much help there I'm afraid.

What a beautiful ring - she will love it! Let us know how it goes.

Regarding insurance, I have made claims on my homeowners for a stone that fell right out of its setting  and a bracelet that was stolen (by alarm installers if you can believe it - the police caught the guy). Anyway, I had no problem. I have State Farm; I don't know about Liberty Mutual, so you should speak to your agent.

The ring is lovely and I'm sure she will enjoy wearing it!
I'd recommend getting a separate jewelry policy for the ring and eventual wedding bands, ect. Right now, we have mine insured through our home-owners. I filed two claims with our home-owner's insurance in the past two years (one home-related, one jewelry related). I needed some work done and if we filed a third claim, it would make our premiums go up by 70%!!! I think it's easier to have a separate policy for jewlery so that if anything happens it will not affect your insurance ability for the house.

Well, she loved it! She "oh my god" for what seemed like an eternity.

The setup: She was under the assumption that I was going to be out of town for the weekend
She got quiet the surprise as she opened the door from her long night at nursing school. As you can see I explored my creative side a little with the rose petals and candles. She is a very shy and low key person, so I opted for the more intimate proposal, then off to her favorite Thai restaurant.
