So my ring is to look pretty much like this from Van Bargen's jewelry (photo by Von Bargen), except mine is going to have a white gold mounting and tab prongs instead of claw. Anyway I need some advice: My stone is a 1.32 G color, VVS2 measuring 7.80 x 5.13mm x 3.57mm depth.
I'm wondering if I should be putting a small round (1.5 mm), prong set, on each side of the ring to give it a little more sparkle.
I lean toward the clean classic solitaire look and plan to wear the ring with a Cartier trinity small band and possibly another stacker, but I wonder if the rounds would give it a little extra oomph, or take away? I have to decide today! Thanksring1.jpeg

I vote clean classic solitaire and yes to mixing bands to vary the look. Sounds gorgeous ❤️

I say clean solitaire since you plan on stacking anyway. Use your stackers to get that extra bling.

I would leave it without the rounds. I think that those are such small stones that it's really not going to add much to it.

Thanks guys! I really appreciate the advice :)

Another vote for no sidestones! Stackers can give you that extra sparkle.

eta - Come back with pics!

I've got a ring very similar (with a much smaller diamond than yours), but same E/W setting with white gold basket, but the band on mine is rose gold. Based on how much I adore mine, I'd 100% leave the rounds off, the plain band is so sleek and fluid, and super easy to stack other rings with.

I too would opt for a clean line and simple solitaire if I were to stack the ring with other bands to vary the overall look.

DK :))

It will be a stunner on its own. Classic and simple is best!

Thanks again guys! I've already decided...no rounds! :) I'll post photos of it when I receive it.
