I had the flu 3 weeks ago. I had all the symptoms except vomiting.
Then the respiratory thing came on. It felt to me like a mild bronchitis, and I am still coughing a little.

Feeling better today. Still very tired. I get severe migraines anyways so I’m sure the dehydration didn’t help me. I had lots of power aid blue-the only flavor I can stand. I was more worried about my liver, when you have a headache you take whatever makes it go away. I know the limits 4g Tylenol/ 24 hrs. I try to keep it to 2g. I also had a few Vicodin and tramadol left over from surgery earlier and finally maxalt. ( I only took 1 of each during the day) . None of them really worked. But improvement is happening, no fever last 24 hrs. I would have gone to the hospital if I topped 101 as I have no spleen. Luckily I didn’t. Thanks for all the concern, prayers and suggestions. I hope you all stay healthy!

AprilBaby, I was on a constant dosage of Advil, Bayer, or Tylenol. I rotated them around, cause I didn't want to take too much of one thing. I hadn't been that sick since I was a little kid.
I made sure to drink a lot-- tea, soup, water. I had the sore throat, as well. It's been rough.
I hope you recover soon! I feel your pain.

I am glad you are feeling better. My kids got the flu even though they had flu shots. My daughter had a 104.7 fever, very scary. They did a swab and it came back and positive for influenza. Apparently not only is the flu shot not very effective this year, but the flu is especially nasty. My kids each missed a full week of school. The school is having trouble keeping up with sick teachers even, some classes having to combine because they can't get enough subs in for the sick teachers. Lots and lot of kids missing school due to being sick.

And from what my older kids tell me, it is spreading like wildfire in the college dorms as well.

I’m so sorry for you both! At least we understand each other! Hubby keeps telling me he thinks he is getting it or has it. I said if he is still standing, not a chance. He regularly gets “man flu”.
