After coordinating the e-ring (diamond from New York, setting from Bangkok under the auspices of a London jeweler) the ring was too small. A jeweler made the very finely crafted and very narrow platinum ring base (palmar aspect) dangerously thinner (and not particularly attractive). The problem is - he overdid it, and now the ring is too big! It seems a shame to have one of those bar things, when the ring is new, expensive, and lovely. Any suggestions? Can part of the ring essentially be remade (there is relief and detail in the platinum, but no diamonds on that part, although there are pave-like stone further up)...
We cannot easily go back to the jeweler who sized it, as we are currently half-way around the world from him.
Comments appreciated
