I'm not a big fan, or even a small one, of either star but after 50 years it might have gained some interest as a period piece.

It did gain a following among some groups of people, but people vary. At least, that's the rumor.

It sounds like you have made some new folks that may foster some friendships. Maybe the widow doctor may want to get together some weekend for lunch, of the other couple for dinner? You might have to make the first contact but it may lead to a whole group of new friends that may not know your other 'friends'.
