for the past 6 yrs i been staying away from the watch forums,then a few months ago i took a peek over there and read about a watch that i wanted to purchase 8 yrs ago had been discontinued in 2006.. ...anyhoo,about a month ago a very lo mileage one was offer for sale and i got to have it.. .. Fed X delivered the watch this morning,but please don't tell my wife...

in 2002 i was trying to decide b/t the Lange 1 PG and the PP 5054 RG. the PP was price at $600 higher but it had one extra function (moonphase) i ended up buying the Lange 1 (no regret ) Lange 1 wasn't available with a MP til 2004,anyhow,two days ago i ended up paying a lot more $$$ for this low mileage PP then i would of for a brand new one in 2002.

two months ago a guy beat me by one day on purchasing a low mileage Lange 1 with MP. .. some of the guys on the watch forums go through watches like the gals go through setting here on PS. many of them owns 1/2 dozen of fine watches but they can only wear one at a time,so when they decided to sell a watch from their collection many of their watches will still look like new.

IMO...jewelry are meant to be worn not for display.i will alternate wearing the Lange and the Patek.the Rolex will receive the least amount of wrist time.

TG...when i have the Lange on my wrist i can feel its weight, not so much with the Patek. when you wind a Lange it feels smooth like turing butter you don't get that ratchet feel like other watches. there are just something special about a Lange..
