I have a bracelet I made with white FWP and welo opal rounds. I love to wear it on a sunny day.
The opals look bluer over a dark cuff or sweater, I've found.

Oh periwinklegirl, they are so dainty and sweet. I hope my opals are as colorful as Your. From where You purchase Your opals and pearls? I just looking video of knotting pearls and I wonder if I try by myself too.

I have black cloths a lot, so money I save not to buy new cloths I could spend to new pearls

You should definitely try it yourself. I mostly buy my loose pearls from a website called Etsy - I like Patricia Saab Designs (who is Pattye here on PS and she sells lovely pearls!), The Merry Bead, and rocksamillion. I sometimes buy from Ebay (mostly Chinese fwp). And I even occasionally get pearls to string from Pearl Paradise if they have a sale.

The welo opals were from ebay, but there is also a site called Mineral Miners.

The 5mm pearls were from a local clearance store. I cut up a rope and made two bracelets from it. I got the needles and clasps from the local craft supply store, but you can it all online too.

Unfortunately I don't know that seller (and I didn't see any pearls listed).

I've had good experiences with this seller, for nice quality but cheap fresh water pearls. I haven't ventured into their akoyas though.

Store name is lei family jewelry-2. There is a lot of strands with different grades, not akoyas though. And some looks very nice.

My experience with fufa is that unless the price is over $100, they are just fresh water pearls, not akoyas. Often on ebay you get what you pay for. Although the prices are significantly lower than retail.

For high quality akoyas I mostly stick to Peal Paradise. And only use ebay or Etsy if I'm looking for baroque ones to make into something.

It's also always a good idea to check the return policy before you buy.
