Treysar, we have such similar taste...I have been drooling over your ering for months and now this! Is peridot your birthstone? It is mine and I love it. I''m trying to save right now so I can have a fabulous ring made (well, after the one in my avatar gets made
Peridot is not my birthstone - actually, my husbands birthstone is emerald, and after seeing what ANY emerald would cost, I figured I would go with a different green stone! my budget was small, and they brought in a few stones that fit the meager budget and this one was the winner!
My next projects are setting a 3 ct amethyst that I have as a pendant and then I really want something RED - like a spinel.
My jeweler is Anthony Roberts in Rockland County NY at a place called the diamond exchange. They are where my hubby got my centerstone for my e-ring
, where I chose my setting and hed them alter it to my specifications (semi-custom), where we picked out our wedding bands, and where I get most of my jewelery.
They are always kind enough to bring in things to let me look at them, etc. They are very nice!! And they do GREAT custom work. Before my wedding I went up there and they re-dipped my white gold e-ring setting while I waited, no charge.
Okay LOVING that!!!! It looks beautiful and substantial and yet dainty all at the same time! And such a vibrant green...it's gorgeous!!! Now you have me wondering what I can put into my old platinum solitaire setting...
how pretty! peridot is my birthstone so i was immediately interested in what you had done with one! i bought one over the summer at th DC gem show, not sure what I''m gonig to do with it yet though! very nice though, have fun wearing that one!
I''m not generally a big fan of Peridots, but that is one fine looking gem. It stands up as a solitare exceptionally well. Congratulations on a great new ring.
