So I'm positive this topic has probably been brought up before, but I'm so excited I think I finally found my forever perfume. I try SO many and I never buy them more than once because I get tired of the smell. But this one is PERFECT. I want you all to love it too and go buy it so that it doesn't go away :appl:
My scent: Miss Lomani
What's yours???

Hypnotic Poison by Dior

I have two, that I interchange:

Tresor & Attraction.

I also love Amarige by givenchy (not sure why I stopped wearing it) hmmm, might have to get me some soon again.

Bond No. 9 Scent of Peace. Totally worth the price.

Pink sugar. Two I adore on everyone else but smell off on me are quelque fleurs and fragile.

I love perfume and a small collection. I wear them according to my mood that morning.
I love:

jessica mcclintock (original)
jess mcclintock new victorian
amazing grace
brilliance by jess mcclintock

did i mention i like j mcclintock's perfume?

Ralph Lauren Blue....I have worn it FOREVER and still get compliments on it. 1 or 2 sprays is plenty with this one too and lasts for a while. I love its dark blue bottle too :) I have a feeling its been discontinued because I haven't seen it sold at any department stores anymore.

I also wear some others sometimes...

Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy and Donna Karen Cashmere...the limited edition one

I used to love a lot of the regular ones that everyone is listing. I now wear different perfumes that I ALWAYS get compliments on. People will freak out in public and tell me how good I smell (strangers) and ask what it is. haha!

I think my sense of smell has evolved a bit though because I have a very hard time wearing anything that has fake scents in it. Such as.. an apple perfume that has no actual apple extract- if that makes sense. It completely stinks to me now. I actually really don't mind if others wear it though, but if I have to smell it all day and night- I can't wear it. Anyway, I like smelling fresh and clean. I don't strive for the "I fell off of the stripper-mobile" anymore (such as high school and college parties, bars etc.)

ALSO, about once every six months I will put on the stripper perfume for old times sake- Anna Sui Dolly Girl-Bonjour L'Amour. I usually get a headache from it now but it brings back fond college memories.

Issey Miyake L'eau D'Issey is my 'day' scent.

Michael Kors Michael Kors is my 'evening' scent.

I like florals. The Issey is very fresh and clean and the Micheal Kors is just irresistibly feminine.

I hold Lorelei responsible for my vintage fragrance fetish.
I've tried many, many fragrances, but the one I come back to time after time is a vintage version of Worth's Je Reviens, from 1934. I'm also really fond of Chanel No5, after trying a bottle that belonged to my grandmother, purchased in the 40s. I think the old scents contain ingredients you'd never get to apply to human skin these days, but they smell better...

I have two-
Clinique Happy
Dawn by Sarah Parker

Oh, I love Je Reviens! I used to wear it all the time. Thanks for the reminder, JenniferW!

Right now I have two that I wear, depending on mood/time of day:

Chanel #5 (parfum and also a super long-lasting oil-based eau de parfum)
Hermes eau de jardin mediterranee (spray eau de parfum)

I used to wear Paco Rabanne Calandre, but the parfum has been discontinued, and the version of the eau de toilette that is available just does not smell the same *sigh*

I'm not much of a perfume girl, but I do like pure scented oils. We have a sweet little shop in my town that custom mixes fragrance. My favorite sweet, clean, frangrance is Muguet (Lily of the Valley). I had a special concoction made of 90% Muguet and 10% Rain which is a slightly musky woodsy scent and it's quite lovely. As an alternate to that, I smooth some Crabtree & Evelyn "Summer Hill" moisturizer here and there and it lasts almost all day. Summer Hill is a combination of Lily of the Valley and other lightly scented florals.

Oh, man. I've been wearing the same perfume for probably... 13 years now? Since I was in high school! It just smells like ME to me, and I have sniffed many a perfume since, and only found one I like enough to wear occasionally just to mix it up.

My forever perfume is Boss Woman - the original! It's amazing. If they ever stop making it, I'll buy a bunch of bottles and then have someone custom blend it for me. I'm so dead serious on this it's not even funny. LOVE IT!!!

My acceptable backup in the event that I'm out of Boss Woman and forgot to get more is Chanel's Coco Mademoiselle. It's nice, but it's not ME.

My everyday scent is Euphoria by Calvin Klein

My very special evening scent is something I got in a tiny little town called St. Remy du Provence in France 10 years ago, where DH proposed. The bottle doesn't have a name on it and the little shop is gone now (I had a French colleague call for me to try to get a vat of this stuff about 8 years ago)....I have one bottle left and took it to a place in New York where they can match scent....they came close, but not close enough...I wear this now only on anniversaries....I'm going to be so sad when it's gone....

Right now my everyday perfume is Versace Signature, and it is very me. I am going to be trying two others though just in case: Flower Bomb and Faith Hill's True.

My most expensive, and favorite, but not every day just when I need to feel like an empowered woman is Caron Tabac Blond. I love it love it love it. It's all Lorelei's fault.

I have a rather hefty little collection of scents that I love, but don't wear every day. I have:
Chanel Chance - smells rancid on me in the heat, thinking about seeing if someone wants it
Estee Lauder Private Collection Tuberose Gardenia - smells EXACTLY like gardenias, it's great for my hottest days
Estee Lauder Pure White Linen Pink Coral - I actually really like this, don't know why I don't wear it more.
Caron Aimez Moi
Caron Fleur de Rocaille
Body Shop Vanilla
Shania
Cowgirl Chic
Tommy Girl
Bath and Body Works Gardenia scent
Mary Kay - all of their scents
Floris China Rose - discontinued
I have Caron Tabac Blond in Pure Parfum. I just dabble the tiniest bit and it's like I've sprayed five times.
Versace Signature - of course

Many of these are really a bit too heavy for me to wear where I live. But I still love sniffing them.

Mine is Bond No. 9 New York Fling. It's a scent that I can wear year round.

HI:

Yes, I think Miss Ellen did have a signature scent thread once--or a search for a signature scent....

I love too many to have a signature; but currently am enjoying Hermes Voyage.

Someone mentioned the original (Worth) Je Reivens--where on earth do you get his? This was the "first" perfume I bought and thought it was long gone!

cheers--Sharon

Vera Wang Princess and Burberry London.

I wear Philosophy and Fresh brand perfumes, I love how light they are I can't stand anything too heavy/cloying. I also remember really liking Chanel No 5, but I don't currently have a bottle.

Eau de Cartier. :appl:

It doesn't come in a perfume, only a cologne, it's light and very clean. It starts with a crisp gardenia or lily-of-the valley note.

I don't like a heavy, clingy scent, I get tired of smelling a perfume after an hour and this one works tones down in a half hour. Then it leaves a light residual woody note.

I have a ton of different Chanels, but this one is more appealing to me, I've stopped buying perfumes and I'm sticking with this one.

Also, L'occitane Lavender Essential Oil. I don't wear it, I just put a couple of drops on my pillow each night and it smells very clean and refreshing.

It appears occasionally on ebay, but true vintage bottles are fairly pricey. It was re-launched a couple of years ago, and they produced a pure parfum version that is absolutely lovely. Smells much the same to me as the vintage bottle. It comes in a disc-shaped blue flask similar to the original and is around $70 from various on-line sources if you care to search. If you don't find it, let me know and I'll take a look at some UK sites.

Id love to find my 'signature' scent, but dont think i have yet...i definitely have favorites though!

At the moment i have two bottles on the go:

Fiori Di Capri by Carthusia is a contender for signature, this is my second bottle of it. THough it can sometimes be too sweet...
Chanel Coco Mademoiselle is a new one im trying out, i quite like it, though i think i prefer Prada, which i had a while back and is in a similar range....

Id really like to get into more boutique perfumes, but im pretty limited where i live (i got the Carthusia on a recent trip to London). I do like Artemesia by Penhaligon as well...and a line i saw in London but didnt have time to try was Nez a Nez perfumes, id like to check out their stuff...

JenniferW, Dragonfly etc, i like vintage fragrances as well, for a long time i wore Guerlain's Jardin de Bagatelles, and in university i wore Chanel No 5 (now my SO thinks that smells nice but too 'old' - i bet an aunt or some such of his wore it and that's why). And even though its not that old, my Aunt once gave me a teeny tiny bottle of Van Cleef & Arples Gem parfum - and i adored it, would sniff it every chance i got until it eventually dried up :(sad years later i found it in France, but it didnt smell quite the same as it did in that bottle...

It took me 25 years to find my scent, and believe me, I had searched high and low! I used to never wear perfume, or even really like it, because nothing smelled like "me." I've found two now that I absolutely adore and are so me! Miss Dior Cherie, and D&G Light Blue. I love them both!

i wear happy by clinique -- it's more or less the only thing i can tolerate and it's pretty light in scent. Most smells give me naseau, unfortunately.

I have three no-fails scents...

Day-Sugar Lemon by Fresh. It's light and fruity and feels casual
Night-Viva La Juicy by Juicy. It's sensual and young.
Weekends-Weekends by Burberry. Very hard to find, BTW. But I like it for a little twist.

Like Gypsy, I wear Issey Miyake L'eau D'Issey and have worn it for several years now. Once I find a scent I like, I tend to wear that only. Santa brought another bottle this year. How convenient for me as my supply was running low :wink2:

It's funny how long a bottle will hold it's scent, even after the perfume is gone. My grandmother wore a certain perfume as long as I can remember and when my grandfather passed (he had kept the bottle), I asked if I could have the bottle. Every so often, I'll open it up and it's like she's giving me a hug.

I know what you mean, I have a couple sweaters of my grandmothers that have her perfume on them, I bring them out every now and then when I miss her. My mother has been wearing, perscriptives calyx, every since high school, it's so HER, brings back memories every time I give her a hug.

I really hope I don't get tired of Miss Lomani, I have tried soooo many other scents but eventually get tired of them, I want one that is ME and I think this is it. Others that I did enjoy for awhile were: Ralph Lauren Polo Sport, Halloween original, Jadore, Clinique Happy Heart, Obessesion for women, vera wang for women original, and hypnose.

I LOVE hearing about everyone's signature scents, I think it really shows a piece of your personallity :appl:

I have TONS of perfumes, but only a few that I truly adore. The most recent is Salvatore Ferregamo's Incanto Bloom. DH just got it for me for xmas and it's AMAZING. My other favs are David Yurman, D&G's Rose Gold, CK's Secret Obsession, Island by Michael Kors, Escada Moon Sparkle (they don't make it anymore, but you can still get it on ebay) and Incanto Bliss (the whole Incanto line is amazing).
