What ring size do you normally wear and what did Leon recommend?
Just curious cause I am hoping that hubby gives me the go ahead to have Leon create a setting for my stone.
My current size settings is 5.25 but the band is about 4mm wide.
Until recently, I was a 5.5. I''m now a 5. So, Leon had me pick something in between and I split the difference.

Gosh, I am so excite for you Harriet. I can''t wait to see those pictures. How big is your stone again?

Thanks, Lucy. I hope your hubby gives in. My stone is 3.5+.

What a ROCK!!!!!!!!

Thank you!

EEEEEEEKKKKKKKKKKK!!! I''ve been so busy and I missed this Harriet, but, I sure am excited!!!

I love that solitaire. It will be so perfect with stacking bands! I cannot wait to see it! Will it be like a child on a long car trip???

Are we there yet???

Are we there yet???

Are we there yet???

BTW, I''ve never heard of ''cool beans'' either. We can thank Skippy for broadening our vocabulary.

Harriet, I personally do not see a need for a new appraisal. Your ring is currently in a platinum solitaire and you are having it put in another platinum solitaire. I changed my setting once to a similar one and the insurance agent said it was fine to leave it as it was.

Leon thinks re-setting will increase the ring''s value.

Luckily (knock on wood), no chimps. I''ve just been in the water. They drag me to the ocean...They drag me to the pool...Everyday... It''s a tough job, huh.

The kid part is, but I''d love to live on the beach.

Is it done yet???

Is what done?

Picked that one up from Storm; I never say that IRL but said it just for fun

Harriet, you buy insurance to cover your cost of replacing the diamond and the setting. So unless the Leon setting costs significantly more than the original setting, then I''d say that you don''t need to reappraise. You don''t want to insure an inflated amount especially with a stone as expensive as yours. In fact, it is not the setting that needs insuring, it is your 3.6 carat stone that needs the insurance!

DS, I concur.

Harriet,

I can''t wait to see your finished ring. Did Leon say about how long it would take???

Linda

I think so! Here''s a link for a children''s book I think you will like. Winchell takes a ''special'' sense of humor.

LOL! I know Walter! I have the sense of humor my 13 and 11 year old boys have, unfortunately. I try to behave sometimes, though!

Back to the topic at hand... How are you doing without your precious???

I haven''t been able to pick up my rolling ring, so I''m completely ringless.

I can''t wait to see your gorgeous new rings. Best of luck to you. Glad Leon worked out well for you.

Thanks, Solange. I''m glad I''m able to get along with Leon (this could be the beginning of a ruinous relationship).
