Well, after digging around here for more than a year I finally ordered the diamond for the ring. I''m having the setting custom made here locally, so its just a loose diamond.

HCA says its a 1.1 from the GIA cert. Couple largish inclusions on the edge, but one should be hidden by a prong, and the other I''m hoping wont be noticable with how brilliant the diamond will be.

Im soooooo nervous though. Wish me luck.

This stone is a great value for the money! It looks like a 1.5 carat stone, but costs considerably less!! Stones in this size range are hard to find.

Ditto, what was said about JA. If you are uncomfortable with the inclusions you can always return it for another stone. Jamesallen also has an upgrade policy as well, so you are in good hands.

Well, this is the general idea

Its a 3d model I made in 3d studio max. I'm not a good modeler, so its just a rough design sketch. How the mounting and side design elements blend into the band still needs to be worked out.

Congratulations on finding your stone. I think it looks like a winner. You did well finding an SI2 where the table is completely clean. The edge inclusions should get hidden by sparkle. Are they white or black crystals?
