i''m still getting used to my hair (and overall body) as we speak. for instance, i keep on forgetting that i don''t need to use as much shampoo as i used to.

thank you sba771 and D&T for the links! after looking through various charities, i''m going to be sending it to Children with Hairloss. they help children with medically-related hair loss from chemotherapy, radiation, burns, accidents, etc... they also accept treated hair as long as it''s in good condition.

kenny - i didn''t think your question was tacky at all! in fact, i was intrigued and found The Hair Trader website. i''m not sure how much color affects the cost, but you can get a pretty penny for "virgin" hair that''s in good condition. i know some people will sell their hair and then donate the proceeds to charity.
