I can see indented naturals on my vs2 diamond with naked eye. should i return it?

I bought a G/VS2 diamond with indented naturals.
But I can see them with my naked eyes.
There are three naturals near the girdle.
All look like black spots. One is slightly larger than the other two.
I thought for a VS2 diamond, the naturals should be difficulty to see.
Is it really a VS2 diamond?
Should I return it?

The diamond only has two kinds of inclusions: indented natural and crystal.

So you cannot see them with the naked eye? What is the complaint exactly? You can see VS2 inclusions with a loupe, that is how it is graded in the first place.

If you consider your diamond ugly and/or are not 100% satisfied, return it. If the inclusions bug you now, chances are they always will.

Clarity is graded from the face-up position. That might leave any inclusions, naturals, etc. visible from the side. Or at a tilt. Maybe the diamond can be mounted so that the naturals are hidden behind prongs or otherwise hidden by the setting. Otherwise, I'd say return it if it's not something you can live with. Clarity only has to be "good enough" for me. I can live with visible inclusions so long as they are subtle.

Personally, it would bug me and I would return it if I could. Your eye will always be drawn to the thing that bugs you. Some people like to see properties of their specific diamond, if you don''t get another one
that is more ''eye clean'' to your mind!

Yes, why even hesitate? "Ugly" is not a word that you should feel about your diamond.

And nope, GIA doesn''t care

Clarity grading is actually done "at a glance" as well. They do not pore over the diamond for an hour with a loupe. They glance at it and make the grading based on that.

My advice is never to use a loupe to examine your diamonds, it contaminates the mind

Just return it. I am strange and look at the side of my diamonds a lot ... so I wouldn''t want to see any inclusions. I don''t like indented naturals as inculsions but people laugh at me when I say that - I am likely part of a small group that feels this way.

I also say just return it, there are lots of diamonds out there, no need to settle for one you don''t like, nor should you.

Funny thing being able to see upclose.

The GIA "easy/hard etc to see with the naked eye' is based on average vision. I have terrible distance vison but my upclose vision is SUPER HUMAN in the words of the eye doc. So at 6-8 inches I can see a feather in a VVS2 or a tiny speck in a .05 melee SI1 with concentration or a 3X-5X loupe.; give me a 10X and I can see the subatomic particles.

I can see anyting in a stone that isn't VVS1 or IF and but, I don't want to pay for those so I learn what I can tolerate in VVS2-VS2 and buy in that range.

But I can't read my street sign from 50 feet witout contacts/glasses and I would GLADLY trade in the eye ball loupes for that skill!

So you have to love it, if you don't and there is a good exchange policy, see what you can do.
