I waited it out and came back to earth. I got the plain band for a reason, and have decided that the plain band it shall remain (for the time being anyway!). Thanks for everyone's contributions.
While extra diamonds certainly never hurt, your three stone ring is pretty enough and substantial enough that it doesn''t NEED any enhancements. It looks just great with the plain band.
I have to say I''m glad you''ve opted to keep your lovely set "as is", at least for now. It''s clean, elegant & perfect. Sometimes I think too many stones get all jumbled up looking and actually dilute the focus. IMO - there can be "too much bling" GASP, I SAID IT.
I was just about to chime in and say that Al''s diamond band is PERFECT for a 3 stone...having just tried it on last week, I LOVED IT and it was a really great look. I tried on her ring with my 4 prong eternity and did not like it all. Also at WF I tried on other eternity and shared prong SP style bands with their 3 stone setting, and didn''t like anything as much as her rings together. Highly recommended.
Mara - I love the look of Aljdewey''s band. My issue is that my 3 diamonds don''t cover the span of my finger due to the way it''s shaped and the fact that I wear a size 7. So, to keep symmetry, the shared prong band would have to do the same and, in my opinion, it makes the whole thing look a little too squat - if you know what I mean. Even my 9 year old said she thought it looked much better with the plain band!
So - the plain band it will stay. Just means I can start thinking about a fun RHR!!
In the meantime - everyone keep bringing on the bling!!!
