I’m happy to say I am now the proud owner of a 1.6 H VS2 MMD. I purchased this diamond through 1215diamonds and I was really happy with their customer service. I swapped the diamond three times as I kept changing my mind (whoops) and they were very accommodating and didn’t make an issue about it at all.

Postage was super fast to Australia and no issues with customs. I just had to pay the 10% tax over the internet once it reached customs.

it’s a diamond foundry diamond with an IGI report which you can see below. I was a bit worried after I ordered because a lot of ppl on PS had said that IGI was a bit soft with their colour grading. I have a natural 1ct G diamond and I can’t see any noticeable difference in colour which I’m stoked about!
what do you guys think? Do you think it was a good buy at $2175 USD? :)

Gorgeous stone! Congratulation! I will go the same way (can't justify buying natural diamond because of a high price).

Hey Monipod!

I haven’t posted about them, but Australian Diamond Network will also source lab diamonds.. the owner Wade used to post here, so understands the group preferences well. The website isn’t as flashy as some, but he created a lovely pendant for me based on a Brian Gavin setting I liked and it’s beautiful.

I’ve had some trouble looking at their lab inventory on my phone, not sure if it would translate to the desktop site better.

Did you confirm the the LG number on your lab report with the one inscribed on the diamond? I just read something concerning about 1215 and I’m now worried about my order I placed with them yesterday.

Yes I did! The number matched :) What did you read that has concerned you? Was it a Diamond Foundry diamond that you got from them?

Yes! someome told me that diamond foundry said that the diamonds listed are not diamond foundry diamonds. Mine is supposed to be.

Oh really. You can check on the VRAI website. That’s the diamond foundry company. Mine was listed on both :)

I don’t think it was. There is an IGI report for it.

I think if there’s an IGI report for it then you should be fine! Diamond Foundry has just recently (like in the last couple of weeks) changed to in house diamond certification (a GIA trained assessor). They no longer use IGI. I don’t know if that makes it better or not. But I did find comfort in the fact that when I bought mine it was an IGI report and I got in just before they stopped using them, as did you by the sounds of it!

Yes, when when I first started looking at my diamond, it had an IGI report. And then about a week later the IGI was gone and it was the GIA report. So I have both.

Thank you!! Yes I have entered the world of lab diamonds and they definitely offer value for money and there are so many options to find a really beautiful one :)
