Hello,
I know there are lot of experts about the cut of diamond here. Please give me your truly opinions and thoughts about the specs of this diamond. Pls see the attached picture for GIA report

It is GIA 3EX, none
T :58% ,
D: 62.4 %
36. , 40.6
C H : 15.5 % , 43 %

I am not sure if this diamond has a great cut or not? Does this diamond has a great bling bling? are there clouds that affect the bling bling? is there anything else no good ?

HCA score is 1.9 . Do you guys think it will qualify for AGS 000?

I am looking forward to your insights and analysis.
I truly appreciate it.

Do you have any up close pictures of the stone? Video you can post?

Did you sell your 3.22 diamond? Can’t you trade it in with Whiteflash? I remember your beautiful ring!

Thanks. I sold it back to WF couple months ago.

Oh, wow, didn’t know you could do that. So you are not interested in another ACA?

WF has 1 year buy back policy. WF will buy the diamond at 70% of the diamond’s purchase price.
For over 3ct diamonds with high color WF has limited inventory or nothing for a long time. or you have to pay way over price to cut a new diamond. Dont get me wrong ACA diamonds are beautiful but i dont think it is worth the high premium price tag, I compared my stone with my friends' GIA stone we did not see much difference. For the fluorescence of the diamond , check w/ GIA, dont listen to their SA, I was unhappy about it.

Medium.

I brought back a sad story about it. my mindset does not like fluorescence, I wont buy any diamond that has the medium or lower flour, period. I repeatedly told WF that, WF confirmed that diamond did not has med flour. Later I brought the diamond to GIA lab for a report, it had medium flour, I was totally disappointed and unhappy w/ what WF said. Last year that diamond had higher price than today price. I had that diamond for less than a year, I brought it everywhere and compared w/ my relative's diamonds, and stores. Then I realized w/ a good light most of GIA 3EX diamonds I saw had a good bling bling. ACA cut is beautiful but I was not sure if it was worth paying extra $15k-20k or even more for sth called ACA. I understand people have the own preferences. "cut is king" but eyes test is still a final test.

WF also sells GIA diamonds that are not ACA’s. Some are virtual but you could have looked through some of those. I hate to see anyone lose 30% of what they have spent right off the bat. I just looked at the diamond. AGS said the fluor was negligible so that could have meant faint. Sounds like you didn’t like the diamond and that is really too bad. All GIA triple excellent aren’t the same - certainly not as consistent as ACA diamonds are - so comparing one to another isn’t really the best test. I am sorry to hear you were so unhappy with the diamond and I wish you all the best in finding one that you love!

Is that stone eye-clean for you? Depending on your age/eyes and how picky you are it may not be eye-cleanish enough
even at VS2. How picky are you for eye-cleanliness?

Edit...I just have a feeling that if you are looking for it you can probably find it but if you're not looking for it you wont notice it.

I am mid 30s. Eye doctor said my vision are great 20/20 I dont need to wear glasses.

which stone are you talking about?
ACA 3.22 SI1 - eye clean to me in general or I had to stare at it for a long time to notice sth
GIA 3.71 VS2 - I have not seen the diamond in person yet.

Can we help you find some alternatives?
Which sellers are you currently looking at?
Have a budget cap in mind for your next diamond?

I would definitely want to see ASET or Ideal-Scope images to rule out any unacceptable ring of death light leakage under the table as well as check for any painting or digging that may affect the optics. Everything may be just fine, but I'd definitely want the assurance of advanced images, especially with such a large diamond undoubtedly carrying a larger price tag.

Thanks. Unfortunately, I dont have extra pics for now. How about all the numbers in the report?

This combination of stars, table, and the steeper crown angle give me a bit of pause and reason to really want to see ASET.

Thank you for your input.

Without images, it is hard to assess any diamond. You had an ACA and didn’t think it was superior to several GIA xxx diamonds so not sure exactly what you are wanting in diamond cut. I assume you just want a larger diamond? Do you have idealscope and ASET tools? Can the seller not provide you with images? I would be very leary of buying sight unseen without images.

FWIW, Whiteflash now sells ACA diamonds graded by GIA (with GIA no fluorescence):

I used the diamond search here on PS. I filtered for excellent and very good cut in D-E-F color. Size from 3.2 to 4.00. Only came up with the two at Whiteflash although the search engine searches through several vendors. Diamond availability has been low due to COVID and the war in Ukraine. Russian diamonds are not being exported to US. The larger the size, the harder to come by I guess.

The owners of those GIA stones are really picky about their diamonds , I did not see much difference b/w my aca and their stones in term of bling bling. Not all 3EX GIA stones are the same, some really great. some nah. Also having the diamonds side by side to compare is one of the most easiest way to see the difference. but people have their own preferences and may have different results.

I am still searching diamonds and I have not asked any sellers for the images yet.

I have aset tool , also use HCA score and Stoneago cut score as a tool to eliminate the diamonds for now, and ask ppl here.
