I am in desperate need for help designing my wedding & e-ring set - any advice appreciated!

Hi all!

Im a long time lurker, first time poster.

I need to re-design my wedding & e-ring set - individually i love them - but together there''s something not right. I am a lover of halos and bezel set diamonds and would love to re-design my rings using any or all of my diamonds.

Engagement ring - The center is 1.08ct, sides are 1/2ct each, outer edge are 1/3rd ct ea
Wedding ring - 7 x 1/4ct diamonds
I love the tiffany legacy style rings - has anyone seen this style ring matched with bigger diamonds in the wedding ring?

Wow, that''s quite the set! If it were me I would make a three stone ring out of the middle and two side diamonds in the e-ring with micropave halos and have a micropave band to match. Then use the outter most diamonds from the e-ring for studs. Finally, I would take the wedding ring and either turn it into a right hand ring (but reset it in a channel setting or basket setting) or if you have a daughter use some of the stones for a 16th b-day ring, or graduation ring, etc. Please post pics of the final product!!!

i forgot to add - i have a size 9 big chubby finger so i have plenty of finger that requires bling coverage!

I think that the side stones overpower the center stone making it look smaller, I''m sure that you''ll come up with something fabulous! however I do love your wedding band i wouldnt change that (well unless you want to)! Heres one of kimmy''s ring (hope she doesnt mind) its a round diamond in a bezel set halo might bring you some inspiration

I think you are exactly right with the center being overwhelmed by the sides

im loving the solo halo e-ring idea - what about a wedding band to match that has 1/4cts? would that overwhelm the e-ring? all the rings i have seen to match halos have been smaller diamonds... hmm what to do

I know its not what you want to hear but I also love it the way it is...the double bezel from pearlmans is pretty though.

How about halo''ing just the center 1ct then having sides as well, either the .5ct or the .25ct. There''s a couple of rings like that around... let me think.... one is Tacori but on a much tinier scale and also Verragio I think. I will try to dig up the pics.

Here''s a Tacori three stone halo. That with a micropave band would be tres pretty I think!

I LOVE your set! If I were you I might wear the wedding band on your right hand and let your e-ring stand alone on your left. I happen to think your e-ring is perfect! I love the proportions.

I LOVE the bezeled haloed eternity band from pearlmans. That would be an amazing RHR.

That what I was thinking as well, beautiful set....I am thinking about down the road haveing my rings combined into a ring like you e-ring and just wearing it as a stand alone piece and you ring is just about perfect

I have seen a few girls with the eternity bands from ebay seller LOGR and wondering if the milgrain eternity ring would look nice either side of a halo solitaire (with matching milgrain)... can anyone point me in the right direction if you have seen some pics or another PS''er has something similar?

I would keep your wedding band as is. It is absolutely gorgeous! As for your e-ring, maybe a 3-stone rather than a 5? Maybe make the keep the smaller stones with your center stone and make earrings out of the middle size?

I think both rings are absolutely gorgeous, but I agree that they don''t work that well together. I think it is because the size of the sidestones is so similar to the size of the stones in the wedding ring and of the center stone.

I would keep the wedding ring exactly as it is and reset only the engagement ring, either as a solitaire or a halo, with no side stones. This way, both the ering and the wring have their own unique charm, without competing with each other.

I would keep the wedding band as-is and do a three stone ring with all three stones haloed like the first one angeline posted. I agree that the wedding band and e-ring aren''t great with each other because the stones are the same size. Both rings are gorgeous, though!

I like a smaller wedding band in comparison to the e-ring, personally.
