Hubby's Old Cut diamond Earrings - 1.31cttw

Hi all!

Just wanted to finally share the hubsters new set of old cut earrings. He left them at home while doing some errands. At my place, that means they get cleaned and photographed

I have to thank Uppy and Fortekitty for these stones. They were bought nearly 5 months apart. That's about how long it took to find a stone that matched the first one I bought from Uppy. Fortekitty helped me scour EBay for delicious OEC's. She is a genius!

The ony you bought second is one I had been eyeing for a long time! He relisted a few times, I was trying to talk the seller down lower because I am cheap! But it is one of the prettiest OECs I have seen so SCORE for you!!

Am I right they are about 5.2mm?

Dreamer: Thanks! Yeah they're not the same size exactly they share 5.3mm in common. They're both "off-round" the smaller one is .63ct and 5.2-5.3mm and the larger is .68ct and 5.3-5.4mm. The six prong settings really mask the difference. Ear shots... probably not, he doesn't really share my love of sharing the bling. LOL

Are your own ears not pieced?

That is nice to know that earrings varying that much still match. As you may know I am also looking for a matched pair, and I have a stone that is 5.2mm. I have one coming that is likely a weensy bit larger (I do not have exact measurments) but I am hoping they will work.
