HPHT & old GIA certs

Just a question.. GIA now tells in their certs that the stone was
treated or not.. However, if I remember well, they have started to do that
only for the last 1 year 1/2 ? So, I''m pretty sure there are some
stones certified in 2000 or before that were HPHT treated while GIA
didnt state they were ??

I think that if a stone is treated, it should state that clearly on any
cert, if not, this can result in serious consequences...

I agree but I'm pretty sure that there are tons of stones that were certified by GIA before 2001
that were anonymously (except the girdle inscription) HPHT treated.... No?
