How's this stone?

I'm looking at this stone over at JA:

HCA result is 2.0

Seems like prices have gone up since the last time I looked at these. It's a VS2 but why am I seeing a tiny dot near the center (~2 o'clock direction)? What are your thoughts on this one? Is it worth the price? Is it a nice stone? I'm still debating between 1.5, 1.6 and 1.7 and whether to spend $15k or $22k

Normal to see small dots in VS2 in these highly magnified pictures.

Wondering if that dot will be visible to the naked eye ... if it is, then it's not "eye-clean?"

Eye-clean does not mean invisible to the naked eye.

There's no way that you could see that inclusion without magnification. Keep in mind that those images are 20-40x larger than normal and even then it's hard to see.

Eye Clean has different meanings to each....I consider myself with good close-up eyesight, eye clean at 8" to see no inclusions. Many VS2's are eye clean, but some are not. You need to ask and give your definition of what is eye clean to you.

But after entering the numbers into the HCA Tool, it returns 2.2 with only "Very Good" for all categories. Why is that?

Crown angle is a bit steep, you can see leakage in the IS. I'm surprised to see that as an ES.

Drop to a G H I color and pick one of their A CUT ABOVE...then you will be sure to get a diamond that is beautiful Hearts & Arrows. They have a G about same size for less or an I color that is larger for about the same.

The HCA favors a shallow stone...2.2 is not bad, a very good is ok but you need to look at the stone. The pictures/Idealscope/ASET/Hearts all look good. It does not make their A CUT ABOVE because their specs are a little tighter, it still is a very nice diamond.

Don't know why I feel stubborn to lean toward F and not cross the line to G .. and lean toward VS2 and not cross the line to SI1
Is it better to get a F-VS1 1.5 or a G-SI1 1.7 ? I stopped by the jewelry store today to compare a 1.5 and a 1.6. At first glance, the 1.6 is noticeably larger but after a bit, the 1.5 looked larger due to higher quality. The saleslady said they're the same price b/c the 1.6 was lower quality.
