I guess I'm a "prude" at the ripe young age of 21, because I find that innapropriate for a child's birthday party.

Not only is it tight, and reveals every curve, dip, and dot

, but I can just imagine the view people were getting when she was bending over to pick up a child, etc.

ETA: It looks like an awesome costume for an adult costume party though!

In all seriousness, it''s not appropriate for a child''s birthday party. Her child or otherwise. I obviously don''t know this person so I don''t know where their maturity level stands, but it''s concerning. My 20 year old "wild" cousin lives the college life a PP was talking about and knows better than to wear something like that to a kid''s party. I think it shows an incredible lack of good decision making skills and a lack of social and self awareness.

Fiery,
Is your SIL Latina by chance? I know you said something or other about Miami...Being Latina (as I am) I see sexiness everywhere in my country....ITS THE NORM. Its not "Eww look what she is wearing", its usually "Wow, look at what she is wearing." It sounds like your sister in law is a fun person, who knows she looks good. Good for her. The people who thought her outfit was inappropriate should have found something more appropriate to look at or commented on something deemed "positive", such as little junior''s birthday cake. With that said, has anyone turned on spanish televsion lately......a boat load of sexy women.

Hm, idk, I''m 100% Hispanic, grew up in Puerto Rico, currently live in FL (high Hispanic population), and I don''t see how being of this culture could possible have anything to do with wearing an innapropriate outfit to a child''s birthday party

She''s not my SIL but yes she is Latina (born/raised in PR).

I don''t think her wearing the outfit is really a Latina thing because I wouldn''t wear it (not to mention the fact that I don''t have the body for it

luvin...your description made me think of Hilda on Ugly Betty. i always tell Greg i am going to bust out an outfit like her.

Puh-leeze, that does not say "Storm Trooper" to me. I don''t care if she''s as sweet as Mary Poppins, that''s not a storm trooper nor is it "child party" appropriate and I AM secure about my body so it''s not jealousy. If I was going to dress up as the Easter Bunny for my nieces and nephews it would be the furry bunny costume, not a leotard with bunny ears.

She was dressed as Padme Amidala (Luke and Leia''s mom), check page No. 2

Honestly, I think the costume is a bit much now that you''ve pointed out that some found it lacking in taste, but I also can''t think of any costume from that film series that WOULD be appropriate for a children''s party since most of the rest of the costumes would either involve masks (or large buns on the sides of your head, haha), be really bulky, or cost a fortune. If this girl is young, I''m thinking the costume probably appealed to her because it was a) designed for a girl, b) cheap and easy to acquire, and c) wouldn''t hinder mobility for her. If she''s dressed up for such parties before without doing so in a sexualized way, I would assume that her reasons for this particular costume choice didn''t involve trying to look hot and would let it slide, but that''s just my take on it.

Just saw this posting. I guess the difference between your interpretation and mine was I thought the outfit was ok, while you didn''t. The only Hispanic point I was attempting to make was that of comfort with ones body.
